If you know Latrina Walden, you know that she rarely slows down for anything. That's EXACTLY why she decided to go after an entire Half IronMan Triathlon while still running her company, Latrina Walden Exam Solutions, FULL TIME. This one was simply for her. She showed up for herself ;)
Latrina is a wife, mom, Professor, CEO, Nurse Practitioner, and friend to so many. Often times we get so focused on our everyday responsibilities, lives, and jobs that we forget about doing things purely for ourselves. Latrina decided to try something only a few will ever accomplish. Choosing to complete a half triathlon is difficult in itself, but Latrina has also been on a weight loss journey of her own, losing over 150lbs! Seriously. This was a monumental moment of self love and inner strength.

Wow, this message is exactly what I needed this morning. You touched my heart. "When life gets dark, remember your why." I failed my AANP this year and as providers, we really are so hard on ourselves. Being a mother and nurse myself, i look up to you as such an inspiration.
