I have these two and I like to layer them both… Rose and Leather ❤ Sometimes I layer it with a little bit of Vanilla if I want to soften it up

Being a woman velvet oud was actually my first ever middle Eastern perfume, recommended by Naz here on YT! 😅😅 I never repurchased it again, but I actually loved it and used to also layer it with other fragrances, if I wanted some leather. ❤😊 Since I love leather, I think I'll go ahead and purchase Ana Abiyedh Leather. My first rose love was Stella EDP by Stella McCartney ❤ That's when I realized that rose can be great without nauseating me. I also went on and bought Oscar Dela Renta Bella Rose, which I love too. From ME fragrances, my fav is defo Lattafa Silky Rose as a starter Rose and Lattafa Velvet Rose as a Layering perfume ❤

Hi my lovely hun, Thank you so much for this. I was actually considering ordering Velvet Rose , I was worried it may be too soon after buying Mohra Silky Rose but it sounds a touch more interesting perhaps , not sure yet. I like that it is a spring and summer time scent. I love how you explained which scent to add as I wondered. I bought an oil scented perfume oil for layering. I feel at this point, after watching your review that I would not adore it and the next scent I will buy I want to adore it, if you get my meaning. I would love to have a new fragrance I go completely bonkers for 😂. Velvet Oud sounds no good to me. if it is a tad too much for you I feel it will be for me for sure, I loved your expressions and review. Once again such a delight to watch and listen to. I want a summer fragrance that I go completely bonkers for. I love Sublime and it is truly lovely but I wish it had oud in it. Junoon Oud Al Haramain is very expensive for me Down Under at the moment, is there a cheaper version that could work? I went out for a walk and did not realize my jeans were covered in ginger fur by Sunti 😸😻 as he snuck in and must have rubbed against the legs. Heya my Babe ❤ My personal preference is Silky Rose over Velvet Rose for sure. Velvet Rose is merely good for layering and not too impressive on its own. For sublime, even I feel it needs a little pizazz. There is something missing in it and I agree it should have been a woody cold oud. Sigh... Maybe we should try some layering options. My go to Citruses besides Junoon Oud is Rasasi Rasana which is epic! I also quite like Al Haramain L'Aventure Femme and Two of us ❤ I am not sure how much it would cost down under but I am sure it will be way lesser than Junoon Oud. Hahaha, I had the same happen to me yesterday. Ali is away, so I feel guilty going to work and leaving Markus at home. And just before stepping out I cuddled with him. Lo and behold, I realized I was coated in fur when my colleagued pointed it out. And I was wearing black 😂😂😂 Much love to you my Angel and loads of kissies to your Ginger Furbabies xo ❤

@@SiminShaikh Thank you my hun. I am glad I got Silky Rose especially for milder days, but Sublime needs something, it really should have had some hint of darkness or an edge. I think even mild woody notes added would have helped but Agarwood, or more powerful Oud is needed. I will check out these other options in the next few days, thank so much. I wonder why they even put Sublime into that wonderful Oud Range given it does not smell of any oud. I have learned that I do seem to need that depth, if you call it that. In music you would call it the bass drum,something that ties the whole beat to give it substance. I hate leaving furry felines 🐈 without kisses and therefore should only wear ginger colours🤣😅😂 . But I love colours and dramatic ⚫ black to set some colours 😍 together. Edit I had to check thr prices and still pretty high down under BUT I had an idea after reading the notes and looking at my perfumes. I have Rasasi Qasamat Morhaf, never wore it as I felt it lacked something, it may layer well with Sublime as it does have some citrus and oud. Will let you know. Thank you for your review. I've had sample of velvet oud for longest time and it didn't convince me I need it. Now based on the your review I'm pretty sure I don't need rose velvet either. It sounds fine, but that is not enough while I already have many other rose perfumes. Too bad that junoon oud is a bit pricey here. And I have not found sample of it. Not gonna blind buy 60+ euros perfume. And the other is almost as pricey. I've been eyeing it for a good while.

Heya hun ❤ Exactly. They both are good for layering but nothing to write home about. I am glad I tried them though. I think a good time to buy the pricier ones is Black Friday, but you have to test them out till then and keep your cart ready lol. I do this every year!

My first impression of Velvet Rose was just meh. It doesn’t smell like anything special. Just a sweet, juicy rose. But maybe with maceration, it’ll smell richer. It is a very pretty bottle though!

According to your review I purchased velvet rose. To my nose, it smells like wet suede smashed in damster fulled with roses... so niche style I think, it trigered my migraine.😢

I'm not a fan of traditional rose perfumes too. I prefer a jammy rose like Issey Miyake Rose & Rose. I'm beginning to think that your husband and I have the same preferences. 😅 But let's see. Hahahaha! Anyways, I found a seller of Middle Eastern perfumes here in the Philippines. I bought some decant but I'm having colds since the weekend so my senses are so unreliable right now. Do decants need maceration too?

No they do not need to macerate. Decants come from full bottles that have been sitting for a while as they are only used for decants. Decants should be fully macerated.
