YATTA!!! This is the first time I've made it past the 3rd stitch without angrily throwing the mess of beads and string across the room. I made one of your cocktail beaded rings (it was way too big) and I made this bracelet today as well. I've been trying for over a year now and you are the first person to make this mess make sense. Thank you SO much!! I will try to take a picture of my bracelet to post onto your facebook page. Thank you!!!

I just came across your video and I'm a beginner, I've been watching Karla Kam and just did her spacer bracelet yesterday and have to admit it came out pretty good, I've been wanting to work with seed beads, but have been afraid to, but after watching your video, you make it look so easy and I am now ready to start making some bracelets with them. Thank you so much for the inspiration and great tutorial.

I really loved making this with you. You are a good teacher. some of them hurry so fast I have to rewind twice as much as yours. I made mine red and silver. I put red along the outside and a shiny silver in the inside. then i used red seed beads and crystals in the center.It turned out beautiful thanks to you. I also used a silver button with a crystal in the middle. thanks very much for an awsome bracelet.

I mostly use 8lb. and 10lb. test monofilament fishing line in my tutorials it is pretty cheap. The smaller the fishing line pound the thinner it is. I use fishing line because it is durable, waterproof and stiff enough that there is no need for needles so I never get stabled. I have a spool that I bought at walmart for $3.00 there is 700 yards on it. I have another spool of fishing line that I bought when I first started beading and that was over twelve years ago it lasts forever.

Fireline is more softer and pliable than monofilament. I mostly use fireline in designs that need to be very flexible like the daisy chain stitch and my majestic bracelet. I found that monofilament was perfect for this bracelet because I was working with large 6/0 seed beads.

Over the years I've made a few of the bracelets from this tutorial. I used Fireline, Spiderwire, or Nanofil. I did them in 4mm beads, and I love the way they came out. I didn't embellish mine, because I like the netting effect you get when you don't. I even did one with 6mm, just to experiment. I felt it looked a bit too "open" in the netting, but someone else might like that effect.

@beadifulnights 12 жыл бұрын
It does matter the larger the pound, the larger the diameter of the fishing line and the harder it is to get through beads several times. I think that you might be safe using 12lb. with this bracelet though because 6/0 seed beads have larger holes. If you are embellishing the top and your 12lb. won't pass through 11/0 seed beads use 8/0 seed beads instead.

Thank you! It's because I use monofilament fishing line it is stiff like plastic. Before I start beading I run the monofilament fishing line really fast between my fingers. It heats it up and straightens it out. Becareful I have been burned going too fast. Also the stiffness will depend on what pound fishing line you use. The higher the pound the stiffer. I like 8 and 10 pound best because it is stiff, but thin enough to go though your beads several times. Hope this made sense.

I used 10lb. and 8lb. monofilament because they are very strong and stiff enough that the ends can to be used as needles. So I never use needles with monofilament because of the stiffness. I have been able to pass many times through 11/0 seed beads by using just mono no needles. These are the monofilaments I use along with there diameters 6lb. dia. .010 and 8lb. dia. .011 and 10lb. dia. .012 As you can see they are very close in sizes. I use needles with fireline it great for 15/0 seed beads.

The cheapest place I have found fireline is at walmart in the fishing section for $15.00. You can use fishing line monofilament on the bracelet that is what I used. I also buy that at walmart it is very cheap. It has been awhile sense I bought monofilament but I think I spend 4.00 on my last spool.

Sue Ellen Hutchinson I buy fishing line monofilament from from Walmart it is cheaper and you get a lot more of it than the beading name brand one like supple line. I use 8lb. and 10lb. Monofilament for projects I need to keep a stiff shape. For jewelry that needs to be more soft and flexible I use fireline 6lb. or 8lb. I've been using the 8lb. fireline more lately because it is not much thicker then the 6lb.

I did hear him better with the ear buds. I will see what I can do about the earrings they probably won't be made the same way do to copy right issues. I may do something similar like them though. I too think that any bead will work.

Hi! I love your tutorials, your like a teacher, I've learnt so much from you in the last month, I've surprised myself. With the designs are they all your designs. As I would like to ask you if I could have your permission to sell the bracelets that I make, as I have had a few people ask me too make them the lattice bracelet, the daisy bracelet, and your adorable turtle, with your turtle I thought I would make key rings, and bag chains with him. and maybe a necklace. I'm an older lady so have never beaded until I came across your videos, now I'm hooked. I love that you go through from start to finish, and you speak very clear and beautifully, and its so easy to follow what you are showing. Some days with one off your designs I place you on my desk, and follow you step by step. If you could answer the questions I've ask, I would be very grateful. As hopefully next year I would love to set up a website to sell jewellery I make, plus the bracelets I've learnt from you, if you give permission. Please keep coming up with the great ideas, your very talented, and love watching what you make, and learning along with you. Thank you again, and I really hope I hear from you, as I did write to you once before and I didn't hear from you, so hopefully this time I might get lucky for you to answer my message. Thanks again Andrea T
