Im from New Zealand, and the way the Star Spangled Banner is composed and presented here beats any musician in the industry who thinks they can sing the anthem because they can, well there is a difference between someone who just sings it, sounds great at it, and then you have Sand Patti... who was made to present such a masterpiece of talent art and craft combine together with all the sections of the orchestra and chior and give you something truly magical and be proud of, America the greatest! .

Wow, KZbin can ban politicians, but it can't ban the tone deaf. This is how it is supposed to be sang, operatic. Whitney, did her thang with the bandana on for sure, but she did not hit notes like this. Nor did they hire her to sing for the 100th year of the Statue of Liberty, nor did Whitney shutdown the switch boards at ABC. Sandy hit the double High C with ease and percesion. Also, Sandy has sang our National Anthem for Presidents and World leaders.

My dad loved this rendition. It was played during the Statue of Liberty 100 birthday celebration in 1986. My dad recorded the celebration. I have it on DVD now. He died this past December. Miss you dad always. Rest in peace!!

The only way this song is tolerable is to hear Sandi Patty sing it. The updated 2nd verse that was written for this arrangement really saves the song as far as I'm concerned. LOVED Sandi Patty for more than 30 years and she still amazes me. Finally got to see her in concert a few weeks ago on her farewell tour and she is as great now as she was 30 years ago.
