Jazz fusion already exists, it’s basically a mix of jazz and rock.

And it’s also on the weirder side of jazz where the instrumentals and everything are much more intense and focus on complex harmony and instrumental technicality more than catchy melodies. People that like laufeys music likely would not like it.

It’s basically Lounge Jazz vs Free Jazz. People that like lounge jazz probably find lounge jazz to be unlistenable.
