We never knew it at the time, but our first introduction to jazz was Vince Guaraldi. Laufey brings a new twist in music incorporating jazz and classical music. Is it really jazz? Who cares, it’s great music. Her creative writing of breakup songs and love resonates. Hope to see her in concert when the promoter get a clue she needs a larger venue so everyone has a chance at an affordable ticket. Ticket prices in Seattle in the secondary market were well over $250🤦🏽‍♀️ Keep being creative Laufey❤❤

"PLAYING JAZZ NOT WATERING IT DOWN" that's the funniest thing i've ever heard. laufey is the most watered down version of jazz i've ever heard. it's POP MUSIC. stop being so culturally ignorant.

Give her what is due her for bringing jazz music and vintage era music to people below 20. My granddaughter is only 10 yrs old and introduced laufey to me. I immediately related to the music. On my own i love the music of chet baker, billie holiday, sinatra, fitzgerald. Much older i love al bowlly.

@@HealthyLifeCaravan-hm4di yeah no i agree with that. there are elements of older harmonic techniques "vintage era" music, that she brings really effectively into pop. what i should've said was that its annoying for her to claim to be the saviour of jazz, and damaging to the culture that still vibrantly exists, all while kind of pedalling the narrative herself. But to be clear i also do really love Laufey, she's doing pop music and lyricism a huge service.
