@@LaughCryDIY - In all my 73 years, growing up in Mich, then moving to Florida, no mantles in any of the houses. When I did a short stint in Savannah, for 6 years, every single place had a fireplace, each original to house. 3 places, a carriage house, a huge upper 1/2 of a house then a 1920's house. So I got to experience them for a while. I'm in a duplex now, FL., no room for even a fake one. I do have a pretty killer window seat though, large enough to hold a single size mattress. Sorry if this is TMI, ha ha ha!
