Launch of PicsWire.com

India’s renowned photojournalist Raghu Rai on Monday, January 24, launched PicsWire.com, the first of its kind initiative by the Mumbai Press Club to help freelance photojournalists exhibit and market their work to newspapers, digital news services, ad agencies, corporate groups, and even NGOs.
Rai, the chief guest, extended his support and emphasized the importance of photojournalists in documenting visual history. “Stories can be written and re-written, history can be written and re-written, but photo history cannot be re-written,” he said.
PicsWire.com -- a cooperative project to help especially those photojournalists who have lost their job during the Covid times.
