This was the first launch I have ever been too and I loved it. I came because my kids were in the band. I have since been to a few more AND the most recent was held at my venue for reception. LCS Detroit. My son is in the Navy on the USS Iwo-Jima so this who tradition fascinates me.

Why Anchors Aweigh if it's a NOAA ship, not Navy?

It's noaa sailor navy sailors it's government...that's why...they do for coast guard vessels sometimes also
