@@kilersocke , maybe he felt nostalgic and played the game with the ship instead of a garage gate 😀 Or nobody cares for safety measures at that shipyard. If anything remotely similar happened at my factory, there would be huge consequences for everyone involved, upto the plant manager. We classify this type of incidents as "near miss", i.e. "no actual harm has happened to anyone or anything but we were really close to it", also known as "narrow escape". We're all trained to be very careful: you'd better be late than trip and fall in a hurry, you'd better prevent than get in an accident.

My school always got invited for the launching ceremony at Tsuneishi Heavy Industries Philippines. We are literally at the nearest possible side of the ship. The background music and the fireworks really made us appreciate the company for letting us experience those kind of moments. After the ceremony, they would give us lunch (of course), school supplies, and even held a competition in which they will let us draw the ship and choose the top 3 best, out of 100+ students and be able to ride on the ship during its delivery ceremony, literally on the pilot house in which you will meet the engineers, the pilot and captain. And gratefully I was one of the 3 that got chosen. That is one of my most memorable experience in life, and even got inspired to study hard to work in those kind of companies.♥️ (Sorry for bad english)

this is kind of "old school", or low tech. nothing wrong with it, certainly fun to watch and still practiced. But nowadays, big ships are built & serviced in dry docks. Kind of like giant above ground swimming pools (empty) with a gate to the ocean. So when it comes to float them, they simply open the gate & fill the pool.
