I was looking for this, great timing. When I read the Apple guidelines about launch screens, I thought the same as you.. boring! :) Luckily there are some extra nice possibilities for animations in swiftUI

thanks for the video,here is the scenario,you go from home to setting screen,and suppose you changed something say language in setting screen and now you go back and it need to reflect on home,how you do that,could you make a video about it😁

Great job. Do you have one where you display the build number in the launch screen and retrieve that dynamically?

I don't think that is possible since the launch screen gets presented before your code gets executed. I generally have an about screen in my apps that will gather and present that information. I typically include that kind of information along with the device identifier in the body of an email that my apps trigger if the user wants to initiate a bug report or enhancement request

@@StewartLynch Thanks.. I saw somewhere a way that you could run a script and it would SED into the launch screen and replace a TOKEN however I can't find that back so that we could show a version number on the Launch Screen

No. Those are recommendations only. You can basically do what you want. Your app won’t be rejected.

I don’t understand. Do you mean to show some kind of splash screen when the app comes back into the foreground? This splash screen I reference here is only presented on launch.

Good Video. Can you do a video on Black Screens on Storyboard launch for IOS 14. It’s a huge problem in Xcode.

What do you mean by Black Screens? If you are in dark mode, your launch screen will be black, If light mode it will be white. Just make sure that your text color is set to the labels and images have a light and dark color. Is that what you are referring to?

My splash screen is not showing. It goes from the black screen to the home page.

This could be a caching issue on the simulator. If you reset your simulator and rebuild the app, does that fix the issue for you?
