I finally finished the video.. (takes me a while).. This is actually the first time I am seeing the Rockets being built and used, so I am learning quite a lot.. I found the fact that you have to compromise so much on the first rocket (internal positioning limitations, etc) a relief that there is reasons to expand the rocket later on to customise to your needs. Then additionally the compromising with scanning and searching for water.. I was actually pleased you didn't find water on the first pass, it really shows the RNG and the extra scanning you need to do.. I can understand it's frustrating when you have in the back of your head "I need water, I need water, I need water".. And I was quite pleased when when you finally put the final windows/walls into the base, as I had suspected that was all that was required because I remember thinking when you were enclosing the greenhouse it was strange at which point it said you had gravity.. So the end of this video reinforced that idea. Though, I was unaware you needed to put the sheets into the windows.. So I kinda thought maybe I was wrong until that point.. An idea I thought of since they have added the a fix about 2-3 updates ago, if you start to run out of pressure in your greenhouse.. is weld up a frame or two on the ceiling. This should concentrate the gases in the room into a smaller space. Since the frames no longer trap gases, but pushes them now out the way now. This should also introduce some heat to the room without the need of flares.

Hey, Some of the videos are quite long. I'm glad you enjoy them enough to watch them all the way through. Yeah I have only recently started playing with rockets but the Asteroid Belt makes it much more challenging but also the rockets are an absolute necessity so you have no choice but to learn them. I absolutely love your thought. That is going to help me so much when it comes down to it.

I was recommended someone else's series where they tried the asteroid start. It took them about half a dozen tries to get the game to spawn any asteroids. And, even then, it was only one (and two little ones) that spawned. He was saying that it's a bug that popped up around the time they introduced phase-change. I don't know how correct that is, I just figured I would share.

I have heard the same

It is random what you get and the asteroids (if any) disappear when you reload unless you build something on them or start mining them before you leave the game.

This is interesting. I can't say I've every played on the asteroid start before so I'll take their word for that. Hopefully it's not required and I can make some progress without the ores.

Just a warning there are no Volatiles at the volatile condensate at Io there is only pollutant for some reason so you will have to travel elsewhere for volatiles, or split water into fuel.

I had the same thing. I guess the star map is fixed, not random.

Oh really? Damn Thanks for the heads up

1:17:06 You turned it off early in the episode, to give the umbilicals power to connect, and then never turned it back on.
