I have just taken delivery of a set of these dinghy wheels and they look and feel great, my set may be a later version because they have a extra set of holes in the transom bracket and two extra stainless steel pins to stop the wheels from bouncing out of possession while launching or motoring along. It was watching this video that persuaded me to buy a set and the video is very useful to show how to fit them. Very pleased with them.

After watching your video I took a drill and file and created a 4.5cm slot on each of my wheel posts. Now one pin is enough, acting as a hinge and traveling along the slot locking the system in place with either the weight of the boat or the weight of the wheel.

Колеса надо крикручивать с мотором, сразу смотреть что бы мотор при повороте незадевал за поднятые колеса.

Why not simplify the process by adding a permanent horizontal bolt to the posts, then add gate latches to the top and bottom of the transom? That way, when returning to shore, no more pushing the wheels down with one hand, while trying to put the pin in place with the other. Instead, just push the wheel down until it clicks into place! As for Locking it in place... Gate Latches always come with a hole that's intended for a padlock. Just Think... No more having to Line Up FOUR Holes so the pin goes through! My Dad always told me "K.I.S.S." (Keep It Simple Silly!) Try it... and if you Like it, SHOW EVERYBODY!!! You'll get lots of Boaters wondering why They didn't think of that! One more thing... If you're going to leave it at a Dock to go get some Food or Bait, you can put Padlocks on those latches, so you don't return to find your wheels have been "borrowed".

Hi, thank you for the comment! When you look at the video starting from 0:39, there is a long hole in the leg that locks in the bracket with the pin.
