Thank you for the detail on the fingers & spacer. I had to remove the slide because someone had put in a quarter with a big nick in it that caused it to jam, and I had to take that apart. But I didn't pay attention to how the spacer bars went inside each finger, so I didn't put it back in correctly. Was able to see how it fits and now everything is working again.

Man you don’t have to take “fingers” off at all to get to the coin slots it slides out just fine

Showing how the slide unit is removed from the machine would be very helpful. Our laundry has ESD coin slides that all look the same, but inside the box shows several different styles that all remove differently. Our machines are elevated on a riser for customer convenience, and are also right next to one another. Hence, the machines cannot be moved for easy access requiring that the tech be able to remove the slide unit quickly from a less than ideal position.

There is a hex shaped bar thing that holds the coin slide in place.Open the access door take a 5/16 socket and loosen the bar if you can't hand loosen it then take a hammer or something and tap the coin slide from the bottom to loosen it then pull it out.

Good video but you can make it accept $8.00 with one push, it just takes some minor grinding and some "gold" dollar coin inserts. :)

How do you get it off the machine

There is a long bolt that runs over the top and screws into the front of the box, you can see the end of the threads from the outside when it is still in the box, at top and center. You have to unscrew the bolt, and then you can wiggle the unit and pull it out the front of the box.

You’re doing it wrong. Geez. Take the two springs off, run money through it and you can swap the inserts.

Ugh, I have to make the coin op machines free, because some bonehead told the property owners that is the only way to be able to rent apartments... HA! Then I walk away AND never maintain them again. I know how they will be abused by everyone when this conversion is complete. Everyone come do their laundry for free at 1123 any town apartment building.
