She's amazing. That last notw...hilarious. That shows that we're all human, even Laura Bell Bundy. xD I watch it just for that. xD
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
What note do you think she's trying to hold? I got news, honey--it's a G. Something any soprano worth her vocal cords should be able to do, particularly when she's been building up to it for the whole song. Another news flash--published keys aren't always the keys used in the show.

ouch have to agree on that last note... but everyone has their off days, we know she can nail that note :). It happens. She's still has an amazing voice and is amazing as Elle
@khkitkat13 жыл бұрын
HAHAHAHA This kills ME! I love how she stops. And then restarts on that same terribly flat last note. Love it. Even people on B'way getting 8,000 a week screw up.
@angeliquemariel29167 жыл бұрын
Katie Hardy Yeah I so agree. LBB is one of the only few people who can sing as good live all the time as they do on broadway and in the recording studio.

She is amazing. This song is not the easiest song to sing. And Idina is incredible. Defying Gravity is one of the hardest songs I've ever sung. Idina is amazing and didn't always mess up. If you are reffering to the Tony performance, she had laryngitis. Also, I saw this in August and she was perfect. They did not record that last note, I sooo would have been able to tell and would have been pissed. You can't sing it perfectly every time though. Things happen in a show like this.
@snapitout2460117 жыл бұрын
Yes, her last note is flat, but she's still amazing!! So here it goes: "Leave Laura ALONE!" (:
@mileyfan101316 жыл бұрын
i love this girl shes fantastic just one question was the guy she pretented to be warner the guy who played warner or just so random guy
@andrea892317 жыл бұрын
She was absolutely great, as always... ... until this last note. And before anyone gets mad, I know that she actually can hit the note and I loved the rest of the song. And it's normal if she doesn't hit it all the time, Laura is still amazing. Besides, she already has a lot of work with the rest of the show. You're great Laura!!
@kempokarate1216 жыл бұрын
amen!! laura is absolutely amazing at playing elle. and her voice is flawless (( for the most part )). her acting is great. and bailey is trying to be too much like her and it annoys me so much. i haven't seen legally blonde yet and i don't want to because laura isn't on it anymore and i refuse to see bailey

Poor LBB. It's not as bad as people make it out to be...unless if she's gotten worse. She's great before the last note--lots of energy! Can't wait to see it on MTV!
@fairytalesofyesterda16 жыл бұрын
ooooh...that last note lol but its okay, NO ONE is perfect all the time, I've seen plenty of times when she hit it perfectly. I've been in music my entire life and even the best singers have their bum notes every once in awhile!
@CleanSockz16 жыл бұрын
y like almost every recording of her doing this song does she not hold the last note
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
When the bad note just happens to be the money note? Yep, guilty as charged.
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
Kristen Chenoweth would make her sound like the amateur she is. In point of fact, they had to rework some of the parts for her in Wicked, simply because she doesn't have anywhere near the range Kristen has--and Laura was Less Than Pleased about it.
@summerbum8616 жыл бұрын
So I'll admit I was thinking "oh, there must girls out there mtv can find and undiscovered great talent for the next elle woods." I was wrong. All the girls suck. I think I liked maybe 2 of the girl's singing voices and even then I wasn't blown away. Don't leave LBB!
@softballQT1116 жыл бұрын
i know right? why does evertone think that it was just a ramdom guy in the store wathcing her? lol ! :)
@chaquannaiman16 жыл бұрын
this song rocks. her voice is so powerful... even though the last note was kind of OFF.
@kozeraag17 жыл бұрын
I think it's because she's practically saying be-FAR instead of bef-OR. If she really concentrated on making an O sound I think she might start hitting it more often!
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
No, but being onstage at Carnegie with her counts, wouldn't you say?
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
Not soon enough.
@myr939617 жыл бұрын
does she really? thats kind of sad, kind of like idina menzel always messing up at the end of defying gravity; but besides that they are both amazing performers! ps does anyone know if its true they now record that last note in so much better for audiences?

to me the whole t.v. show thing feels like the broadway shows selling out a little i mean that must suck a little for laura bell to think that the girl that they got gonna replace her was found via reality t.v. show i just don't think they should mix broadway with television like that
@mikachu31716 жыл бұрын
ita! baily should win, since they kicked off emma, who was really good before she got sick, and even while she was sick.

ooooh...... excuse me while i wipe the blood from my ears. that last note was death. we all have our days. LBB's still fantastic, nevertheless.
@seandunavant15 жыл бұрын
that last was just SHOCKINGLY bad...but everything else was amazing...which is why it was so surprising!
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
Since I'm a bass and she's a soprano, no, I can't hit those notes--just like she probably can't hit a low D. But as I said, Kristen Chenoweth blows her out of the water. So do Sutton Foster, Audra McDonald, and Marin Mazzie.

@lalaxashleexlala17 жыл бұрын
uhm its actually sharp.
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
Probably not. I heard this and thought, "Could she be any flatter?" Then I thought that I probably shouldn't tempt her.
@iPWN17 жыл бұрын
They still could have gotten someone who actually could do it, I don't know, well. There are better people, you know. They just chose her because she'd be easier to make mainstream. It's not one bad note. She's bad, at least for Broadway. End of story. (And, OMG, you have the score!!! NO WAI. IT'S NOT LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE HAS IT OR SOMETHING!!! Just because you have... conviction, I guess, doesn't mean you're all that, dear.)
@phoenixnyc17 жыл бұрын
No, Juilliard girl, how much you're getting paid has absolutely no bearing on your performance if you are a professional. You do your job, period. When you actually are a professional, and not going to school on Daddy's dime, you'll understand that.
@BryanJrr17 жыл бұрын
