Keep praying and have faith. The Lord is faithful and He wants your friend more than anyone else could ever. I have a friend whose brother turned to Muslim faith but the Lord is so good. He is working in his life and it may take some time and faith and persevering prayers but not one will be snatched out of His mighty Hands. Just be available for your friend to love and speak truth in gentleness. I pray your friend truly experiences and knows the love of our living God. And that the Holy Spirit overwhelms and fills your friend. Without the Spirit of God, no one can know the truth.

I love this song except for one line of the lyrics...'and when my heart condemns on every side'. I believe we come against the accusation of the enemy after we are saved and that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. We have a new, good, heart that is in holy union with Jesus. It dosn't make sense anymore that our heart would condemn us. The flesh still has the old programming, that is being renewed, the flesh is all lies, deception, delusion it is not who we are in Christ, the flesh doesn't define us. We are who God says we are, we have a new identity now we are saved.🎉 Our new hearts are fully compatible with Jesus' heart.

When you just keep repeating the same line over and over and over again, we come dangerously close to the occult practices of the "mantra" and their "vain repetitions" that the Bible commands us not to do in our addresses to G-d (Matt. 6:7). This kind of worship, is much more often just emotion, rather than true repentance, worship, or intimacy. Hillsong, Bethel, and all these emergent movements both theologically, doctrinally, and in their worship, are emulating mystical eastern religions more than anything else. Those claiming to be disciples of Adonai should be "avoiding even the appearance of evil" (1 Thes. 5:22). We must not love the world or any of the things of the world, if we are to love G-d. Too harsh? Well, that is what the Bible plainly says, almost word for word, in 1 John 2:15, "Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." So, why then do we look so much like the world? Why do we look so much like them? Why do we dress like them? Talk like them? "Do life" like them? Watch the same movies? Play the same video games? Eat the same food? Why? How are we actually consecrated and holy? The answer? We are not. Christianity as a Western religion strayed from the Biblical model of faith and discipleship a very, very long time ago. Today, we are just seeing the broken shell of an already twisted religion that should never have been a "religion" to begin with - one that has its roots in the godless, pagan traditions of Satan's imitations (i.e. the Catholic Church among others). Colossians 2:8 commands that we, "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ." Do we heed this? No. Instead, we do the "church thing" and get into the programs: feeding programs, youth programs, ministry programs, women's programs, men's programs, music programs, ministry programs, missionary programs, etc.. And we feel SO good about ourselves. Never do we stop and think that these words from Yeshua (Jesus) Himself, could actually apply to any of us: “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men... you are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition" (Mark 7:6-9). Either because of ignorance or willful blindness, I don't know, but if you want to resort to trite and condescending remarks that demonstrate your own lack of understanding of the subject or respect for the person, you would be better off staying out of the conversation. If, on the other hand, you would like to engage in reasoned and respectful discussion, then by all means, do so. This world has enough blind adherents to socially acceptable dogma and the so agonizingly ungodly behavior and demonization that inevitably follows.
