Dear Laura, I'm not from the US, but we have the same "freedom problem" as you do. Thank you for being brave enough, and for saying the truth! I think that every person should think about the following question: "Are we owners of our state or are we ownership of our state?" I think that the citizens, by accepting the existance of the state and by financing it are actually the owners of the state. Without the citizens the state doesn't have a purpose of existence. The purpose of the state should be to ensure that it's people can thrive, at least that's my opinion. The state doesn't have the authority do take away freedoms. The state can only take away the privileges. But what's the reality? The state treats us as cattle. We all have our tax numbers (therefore we are marked just like the farmer marks his animals), the state tells us where to go, what to do, what to think. It's all upside down. And as long as people just accept this situation, they are burrying themselves deaper and all of our natural freedoms slowly melt like ice on a sunny day.
