yea i remember Curtis went off the rails after this and sank into a deep depression of drinking etc. because he was so overwhelmed with grief. He then met the lookalike and went off with her.

Apparently the crossing in real life is located at Thirlmere, SW of Sydney. It's a passive crossing that's only protected by stop signs in real life, but flashing lights and bells were added to the crossing just for this scene. The footage of the train are stock images from the Sydney metropolitan railway

I remember when ITV Ireland aired this the whole scene was cut.......that channel cut so much that storylines didnt make sense......I used to watch it on Network 2 Ireland too and they never edited it in both the 1.25pm and 6.25pm airtimes so always knew. Thank god it moved to channel 5. No edits!!!

Brian Harrison Yep, Ireland’s RTE/Network 2 always aired H&A uncut and in full. “ITV Ireland” doesn’t exist, I think you mean UTV - the Northern Ireland region of the ITV network.

1995 was crazy, dodge coming back and falling off a cliff after klling Irene's ex, shane died this year or after, laura playing train tracks. Why was she so foolish then screaming as the train came? Ailsa had to tell her family. Bobby died that year too

Why did Laura stop and turn around? It looks like it's because Curtis shouted her name, but that doesn't make sense, as she should have expected him to do so. Did she simply think she'd made it across, and realise too late that she hadn't?
