the warmth of the sound that's reaching the utube-quality video, the energy of the performers in the studio, the vibrance of whatever track happens to be recorded. someone over there is doing a fantastic job with making these artists feel welcome and comfortable to express themselves, and then getting great quality recordings from the equipment. so. cheers for that. before discovering this outlet all i had left from the states was my beloved KEXP :) well done, all!

don't know if anyone in charge of these 'alternate side' WFUV recordings will see this, but i just wanted to say thank you, and to let you know (or drop my opinion) that you and/or your crew is doing a seriously excellent job. a few comments down someone noted that this was better than the album version. i don't know laura marling very well, but i've been browsing these WFUV recordings all day, and i can say hands down these are some unique performances that someone's getting on tape and film.
