We have to see into our past as a nation to see our past mistakes so we don't make the same one's again.Remove the hate that blinds you so you can see to help guide our nation in a positive direction.

I'm from New Orleans and I just ran across this I looked this area up and it's 44mins away from where I live😞‼️ It really hurts my hurt to see things like this and to know that our black people went through so much back in the day!

J'aimerais bien connaître l'histoire de cette plantation.

When I see these plantations I see black African Americans working on them I don't even hear these so-called historians trying to tell their tale. I see us black people working the fields minding their children keeping up their looks.

Frankie 84s Finest My thoughts exactly as a Black man I could not take that tour with a bunch of white folks walking around like they at a fucking Amusement park.

I sure hope they aren't proud. I'm Irish and French Canadian my grandfather was born in Ireland and my grandmother was born in Canada so thankfully none of my ancestors were here at that time and I remember my grand, mother telling me the stories of when she migrated here and it was still going on then and she said it was despicable the things that went on. She was a nurse and my grandfather was in the military and they said it was a horrible time in history. This should have never gone on and I still can't understand how it did happen in the first place.

My question is what makes white ppl want to visit these places. To me I would think they want to see "what their kind owned on top of the slaves they owned". And to see I guess how powerful whites once was. Because I know if the shoe was on the other foot. I would be uncomfortable. Even tho I didnt do it but still i would be uncomfortable as hell. But what are they thinking when they see this ?
