I chuckled as you talked about how easy it is to move Beaucarnea as Cullen labors away with the shovel. Later in the video, there he is in the background still digging and probably sweating. I guess “easy” is a relative term. But seems as if other succulents you move dig out much easier. Maybe the real point isn’t the ease of the effort but the tolerance of the plant to being uprooted.

A really cute house, nice yard to do your signature, Laura ! Good point about weed & dieback with large area’s growing Dimondia, my brother tried it in a large back yard…it is a PAIN !! I also have weed problems with Dimondia around stepping stones, but still like it on a small scale.

Oh I'm excited about this one! I love the house and sml lot and her tiled entry! Her specimens are great to work with and I'm extra interested as to how you redesign this space. My yard has inspired by parts and it's much like hers, just not set right but some great elements gathered. Will look to see how i can appropriate this to mine ❤

With the big stones next to the parking, make sure they are in spots that car doors wouldn't smack into them where the homeowners friends might usually park to go inside! Love it.

Agree that barrels are best gone and replaced with well-selected boulder in parkway strip. Anything to disguise the brown trunk of the giant columnars? This will be a gem!!
