I LOVE the new fossil brown top dressing. Seems like it will lock together well on the slope, with the chunky, angular pieces. Side note: I just watered my tiny indoor cacti for the first time in way too long, and I can confirm, they look better when they get a little water. 😅

I agree with the watering the plants. I put a drip line in my yard full of cactus plants and they are thriving and growing faster than I expected.

Looks great Laura! Love that you showed off metal fencing! That is beautiful and offers a wonderful transition into succulents! Beautiful!

Love It, but you dug a small ditch next to the sidewalk. Seem like the rocks are still going to get on the sidewalk. Was a small rubble rock been a better idea to hold back the rocks back?
@LauraEubanksКүн бұрын
The rocks will be fine😊

Total continuity. The monochromatic top dressing works well with the ribbon of rubble.

The way you’ve mastered that slope is superb!❤ Gorgeous plant and rock choices! ❤ I’ve got 2 clients with very steep sloped gardens that they’ve completely terraced, which looks okay but I kinda wish for a chance to do this look instead! 🤷♀️

Love the new brown fossil top dressing! What is your rule about choosing the size of the top dressing? Sometimes you use 3/8”, sometimes 3/4”, and this time you use 1”. Btw, I still don’t understand how you have used the rubble to hold the top dressing rock in place. I see that the ribbons will hold the upper rock, but what about the rock in the lower third of the installation? Won’t they fall down into the trench?
@LauraEubanksКүн бұрын
The 1” rock is heavy enough to support itself. Bigger rock is better on a slope.

You were going to show us how you dealt with the old electrical conduit “thing.” I couldn’t recognize it from your end of the day piece. So, it looks like you just camouflaged it with your top dressing rocks, right? Well done.
@LauraEubanks3 күн бұрын
Yes, I camouflaged it. It was no big deal😊

wont the roots of the Brazilian pepper go wild all over the yard and impact all the other plants? I thought they were invasive and neighbors have had to dig up their whole yards to get rid of them!

Just beautiful, but that square mock orange is pretty awful, if you cannot remove it, i have seen you bonsai shrubs that would improve it. 🌱
@timmillan67013 күн бұрын
That would be my first choice, hopefully it has a nice structure underneath the heavily sheared “shell” to work with
