Good morning Sunshine! Just a suggestion, when you change the oil, fill the cartige before putting the new one on. It's +1 qt in volume and helps eliminate a dry start on the engine while it fills with oil. I love driving with a Jake brake! Love the function and the sound 😉 Have a blessed week and I'll see you on the next one. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

Never coast in neutral,if you ever went for the test,Coasting would flunk you very fast, make sure the transmission has control of the truck,if you black out while coasting that motor would continue to run,if it's in gear once your speed drops the motor will lug and die:-)

if you put your lunch next to the engine block it will stay warm. I used to put heat to eat cans of soup next to bloc of the tractor for lunch. you just had to pack a spoon . I save cellophane wrapped plastic ware from fast food joints for that reason. Then you can elect to keep or toss that implement of destruction when done. HINT avoid exhaust parts when engine cook unless you wanted to smell the food until it burns off the working parts. as a kid we made silver dollars with potato slices oninon carrot and hamburger and anything else you wanted . put inside foil wrappings . usually three or four layers will do it. stay away from exhaust parts. usually when you can smell lunch it is ready

I don't know if Laura has completed the new video editing course, but the quality of your videos has gone to a higher level. I miss the old vlog vibe a bit. However, the current ''film'' style conveys more, for example, technical information. I've been waiting for your videos every week for 3 years. Greetings from Poland, where the corn harvest is long gone :D If anyone is not satisfied with the sound of the engine, I invite you to watch my video, but nothing beats the exhaust brake in Laura's truck :D

check into a Fumoto oil drain valve. If you know the thread size you could get one to fit. Typically the install app asks for you vehicle but I don't think they include semi's I have them on all my vehicles and have used them for 20+ years, no failures even when doing light off roading. Really saves on the mess.

You don't need check batteries. Actually, that's not true. Checking connections and acid/water levels in a battery is important. Checking engine oil, and coolant levels and looking for leaks is real important. But even more important is doing a circle check around your truck. It's just common sense. You are awesome Laura and grant. Have a great day😊

That engine oil sump plug doesn't need removing to drain the oil it has a cap on it that you remove. You then screw on a different fitting that has a barb that release's a valve in it and the oil comes out.
