I miss farming so much and the farm period. There is nothing like the smell of fresh plowed dirt, cut fields and hay and definitely at the start of a rain. I’m 59 and my first tractor I drove was a Massey Harris 55, then we got into the JD 40 series. I sold my farm last year (against my wants) but have been fighting stage 4 cancer for 1 1/2 yrs now so life is definitely different. Thank you for a channel I’ve been able to farm virtually Laura and Grant!

I sure do love your videos. Like watching you and Grant work together (and now Gage); and Grant was so lucky to marry a farm girl. I married a city girl; but she learned to operate farm equipment and work with cattle. We farmed together like you and Grant; and there is nothing better than farming with your wife. She passed away three years ago; and our corn & soybean, farming operation to the southeast of you in Missouri was very similar to what you and Grant do. Miss my wife a lot.

Oh god, I definitely feel your pain on that fuse situation where they just give you a fuse number and don’t give you any sort of hint as to what the fuses power on the fuse diagram, making you break out the owners manual to find out what the fuse powers. Ford does the exact same thing on their stuff.

Welcome to the full time crew Gage!!! Ms. Laura I noticed you having trouble pouring Hydrolic fluid out of a 5 gallon bucket a Lil advice turn the bucket so the spout will be at the top of the bucket putting there allows for you to pour without having it need to slow or glug for air making it surge every time if it's less than half full pour it the normal way and normally it also protects the stream of fluid from the wind pushing it all over. I grew up on a farrow to finish hog farm with 2600 to 3200 head at all times and I also started doing the truck driving for the farm a lol bit after my 16th birthday during the summer till I graduated and started farming full time. During when my classmates was going to prom I was hauling Corn from the rail head in Clinton,TN later on I was a mechanic on trucks and heavy equipment at a trucking company in St. Louis,MO and finally my last bit of work I owned a towing company. I bet that seed wagon makes it safer also than lifting that 2000 lb+ box up in the air.

Young lady when I watch your videos I think boy howdy that is a lot of money. You all house your equipment in good buildings. I cringe when I see farm equipment stored outside. I'm not talking overnight. But just being cheap. I think in the LONG RUN proper storage saves money. Way back in the mid 1970's I was introduced to coal mining and its equipment. Some companies approached this issue with the attitude if it ain't broke don't mess with it. I also worked for companies that advocated preventive maintenance. In my experience this approach saved money and increased production and decreased downtime. I am from the mountain state of West Virginia. Few farms in these hills are as large as what you all farm. Nor as level. Maybe some river bottom farms. They don't call it the mountain state without a reason. Great video, thank you girl. GO Gage!!!!!!
