This week i decided to build a credenza for my studio. i used birch plywood and maple veneer for the edgebanding and solid maple for the feet of the piece. instead of building shelves i decided to simply use mildcrates. i love how they contrast the softness and all the detail of the wood.
this might actually be the most complicated and detailed furniture i have build so far-i am super happy with it!

I have done some woodworks in the past but this woodwork plan kzbin.infoUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG helps me do much in a far lesser time than i used to do i have already built several projects with this plan and i intend to do many more soon. Thank you so much!

I love the shots where we can see the bandages and small nicks and cuts on your hands. Not that I’m some sicko who likes when people get hurt. It goes back to my grandfather telling me about cuts on his hands when I was about ten years old. He said they were the result of honest work.

It’s that Ying & Yang of Mid Century curves combined with Euro Crates that makes this stand out so well. Sehr schön -Eric

I think "using cutoff as a jig for edge veneer" might win for random pro tip. This is assuming, of course, that you're good enough with a jig saw to cut it out correctly the first time and not make an absolute mess of it and sand it down to the line after like I do.

It's so enjoyable to watch you work! I love your design sensibilities. My grandfather would do this, think of something he'd need or like to have, then build it himself. This credenza reminds me of a piece he built, he used the same technique as your doors for a roll top desk. One of the things he'd do instead of a sketch was to built a tiny prototype to see if his design would work. I loved all the child size pieces he had leftover! Beautiful piece, Laura.
