I love at 4:00 "it's not so much the car, it's the road" then they hit a big bump and she doesn't even flinch, she knew it was coming and it was perfect timing. Even when you know it's coming, impressive. She definitely has the drivers focus and heart. I love my stock 11 base cooper, I do all my own work and maintenance, drive it like a bastard, they really are durable as hell if you take care of them and even with heavy throttle all over town I get over 30mpg so it's nice not having to interrupt the fun with stops for gas all the time. Down the road I'm going to swap in a supercharged K24a and make convert it to RWD or AWD, strip out all the unecessaries, put some nice tires on and really have at the roads. Central Texas has a nice combination of winding country roads with just enough changing elevation to keep it interesting.

Nice review. I have the same car and similar mods. I have a bunch of rec driving club autocross trophies from it. Great car, everyone is surprised how well it does on the course. I've added horsepower but and a limited slip, but the only suspension mod is a 22mm rear sway bar.

I have an 08 clubman s currently and before it I had an 09 clubman non s. I get so much crap for driving a mini and i could care less. Every single time I drive my car I have fun! Even the non s was just always fun to drive. I have the transmission out of mine at the moment to put in a new clutch and the wavetrac LSD! I CAN NOT wait to see how this thing handles when it back together! Then it’s getting a stage 2 tune in about a month! 230-240 whp and 250ft lbs of torque along with the LSD!! It’s gonna be mean!!

normal mode is for really long drives so your arms don't get tired. I've driven 500 miles with only one pit stop. Every other day, I hit sport as soon as I start the car.

The stock suspension provides for a small amount of lowering capability, between 1/2 - 1 inch, but I don't remember the exact amount.

Dont force the wheel hold it loose let it settle itself. They track the road quite bad minis if you fight the wheel itll make it worse feel sketchy:)

This is exactly true. Guide the car onto the intended line, then allow it to wind out as it sees fit. If it goes over a bump, just let it settle before making any further inputs.

Goes well enough- but prefer a sweet crisp N/A motor like my B18C. Not as fast- but so much more rewarding & grin inducing. Modern stuff all forced induction as nobody builds a decent N/A anymore. The mini will ride awfully on a bumpy surface too

Having had a 98 spec DC2 I can honestly say I’m terms of handling there didn’t feel much between then. The extra grunt from turbo etc was fun with this pal :) can’t beat hondas obviously 👌

Hey bro, I think that comes across wrong. She’s doesn’t mean hard, think it’s just simply got a good weighted steering and manual. It’s not like most point and shoot new Audi’s and BMWs with DSG or M-DCT. I did get what she meant when driving it. The diff on the roads we were on wanted to pull you everywhere.
