I love seeing you paint your flames. I struggle to make mine look natural, seeing your layering on them helps.

@@LaurasBeatingArt hi, hope your holidays are wonderful... I hope you don't mind me sending you this link, I was watching Kevin's older videos, can't believe it's been 6 yrs seems like yesterday, anyway, thought you'd be intrested in seeing his method of using the filbert brush to create pine trees.... He's using a hog bristle #4 filbert... I've used the Bob Ross floral filbert it's a natural synthetic...this brush is wonderful for wet on wet oils painting on top of under layer. Also with acrylic, it gives a wonderful shape, and can manipulate the shapes of branches on both sides... Anyway, hope you don't mind. He also has a winter scene done in acrylic using the hog bristle brush... Watch "Paint with Kevin Hill - Solitary Pine" on KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqXZd5yHgtyni5Y Just something different, as you know the more you experiment with a brush ,like manipulating different angels and such...there's always different effects. I still can't get that fan brush technique down after 9 yrs!!! But, you gave me incentive to keep at it....thank you for sharing your process....always a joy wonderfully edited, produced videos. Best wishes to you in this coming year... Last...I found watching many of the Russian painters channels I've learned alot...theres many out there with full tutorials of beautiful landscapes, I've learned many techniques over time watching a few good painters from Russia, although I don't speak the language, I've learned the colors visually, and guess painting is a universal language.... I think the filbert your using is like the Ross filbert ...just started watching the video... Sorry, hope you don't mind, here's his latest filbert pines, he does the pines many different looks. These are different and beautiful limbs Watch "Winter Forest - Landscape Oil Painting Demo" on KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZDaeKN_bLN5pcU

That's amazing work ,would you tell me is it easiar to paint with acrylic or oil as when i paint with oil colors it takes long time to get dried and if i blend all the colors mixes together which destroy my painting so what js your advice

It just depends on your preferences. For me, some things are easier to paint with acrylic than oil

I have only ever worked with acrylic. Can you tell me the benefits of using acrylic as a base color?! Love this!
@LaurasBeatingArt3 жыл бұрын
yes, it speeds up the oil painting process and when using oils - especially if you're using any kind of medium - having an underpainting allows for a richer color from the oil. Plus it helps with values, composition and tones for the overall painting. This tutorial just barely scratches the surface of all those things but it still helped.

what brand of paint do you use? and if it's not difficult to say what colors are in this video tutorial?

Yeah sorry about that! This was just a little demonstration, I don't remember why I didn't have my second camera view for this. Anyway, I used black craft paint first and the oil is winsor & newton: red, cad yellow, and white
