Laurel Lake Trail vs Ford Ranger Tremor | Mammoth, CA

I did this trail in my ZR2 and scraped a few times...then I got there and there was a totally stock Subaru Outback at the campsite. We were all amazed they made it...but props to them. It apparently is possible!

Haha it's crazy what you'll find at the end of a trail. I always run into civics, priuses and tesla model 3s on top of a snow covered mountain

I've done every high mountain pass in CO with my Jeep on 37'' tires, and as you said, sometimes you get to the top and see all kinds of stock subies and various stock SUVs, stuff, haha. Crazy!

I’ve always wanted to do this trail but never had back up. Laurel lakes has golden trout and feeds into convict lake. I’ll be Mammoth in August. Hot tubs and fishing 👍🤙

@@HappyRockOffroad Roget that. I tried Laurel lakes by myself one time and did the same thing, turned around. Mostly because the sun was going down and i had no idea how much further it was. But with your video , I can see the trail and we will try again in August when we are back. Taking my fishing poles also. We just got a 2023 ranger lariat tremor also so we want to test it out. Next time your in mammoth try the hot tubs down in BLM. If I go to a larger tire on my truck , it will be only a 33”. It needs to fit in my garage. 😊

I usually do but not this time because the trail wasn't too long, it would've been smarter if I did as I was averaging 5 mpg

This looks like a fun ride. I got the tremor package on my ranger. Took it up to the South Colony Trail head near Westcliffe, Co. It was fully capable. Only bashed my side rail once but probably because I was being stupid though. Lol

Hey, yes At the time I had a 1 inch level kit up front from rangerlifts. The clearance was still 9.7 to the rear diff. And all the weight on the bed pretty much made it leveled. Hope this helps!
