From all the comments it looks like most of us set the gelatos aside for lack of knowing what to do with them. You can play with yours as much as you want sharing any clever and new techniques with us ... as for me I think I’ll have a go at them again. I really like the drip idea a lot and stamping the artsy flowers too with the edging. So cool.

WOW Laurel, I thought I was very well acquainted with using my gelatos but you taught this old dog some new tricks. THey all turned out awesome. Thank you so much for these fun techniques! How do you stop your paper from buckling when you gesso it? And you then adhere the sheets you make to an actual card? Also, does the final product need to be sealed?

Great questions! I flatted it out with books usually, lol! Or a heat tool on the front of the back will usually do the sheet. Yes, I adhere them to a card base to make a card. A sealer spray from Krylon is what I use (amazon). Comes in gloss or matte finish!

If you mean the distress crayons, they are different. I find gelatos are much easier to blend and build on than the distress crayons.

Rubber stamps are great, but I don't have many because I like clear stamps because I can see where I am stamping. If you have good quality clear stamps (made in USA and not from Allyexpress and places like that) I think you will find they stamp just as good as rubber.

Normally no. But if I did, it would be a kryolon matte sealer spray. It stinks so spray it outside!
