Lauren and Ben assemble the Obaby Stamford Sleigh Classic Cot Bed

In preparation for our baby girl due in October 2020 we ordered the Obaby Stamford Sleigh Classic White Cot Bed and in this video we assemble it from flat pack as part of getting our nursery ready. We also ordered the additional changing table for it.

@@BenPaton81 our boy is just 4mos old, but don't want to adjust and adjust so i set it on the lowest. His first night was faaaaar better than expected - oh, even for me! He whimpered and cried but just for milk He loves his "haus"

Hello, it's 30cm high off the floor on the lowest setting, 40cm high on the medium setting and 50cm high on the highest setting

Hello, we got the matress from Argos, it's a Obaby 140 x 70cm Foam Cot Bed Mattress

How would you lower the level of the internal frame when the baby grows?

There's two allen key bolts in each corner and the bed has three height positions the mattress frame can be attached to. It makes sense to start at the top when your baby is younger and doesn't move and it saves you from bending so far. Now Eloise is six months and is rolling over we have just lowered the bed down to the mid-level position. It was easy to adjust. I actually put the cot on it's side, undid all the allen key bolts, moved the frame down in line with the next set of holes and did the allen key bolts back up. It probably took half an hour to lower it, it's very well made and is meant to be adjusted like this as your baby grows.

Nice to hear from someone else who bought this model, it seems quite sturdy, we went to Ikea to get a wardrobe but when I was in there I noticed this O'baby cot is much sturdier than the Ikea cots.

Did anybody else find the drawer a disappointment. It’s good for storage yeah but to make the cot and see it’s good quality then to just have the drawer that just wheels under it I wasn’t happy about, the drawer should’ve at least been on rails and a stopper to keep it flush with the frame. It was like an afterthought by obaby

Yeah I agree it's design means it's more like a tray that slides underneath than a drawer, plus things get quite dusty, we use it for accessories we don't really need to access very often but would probably need if we sold things on etc... like playmats she has grown out out of, camera accessories etc...

@@BenPaton81 absolutely. We’ve got bedsheets, blankets and stuff like that in it, the size and the build of the drawer itself is great, it’s just how it sits underneath the cot is disappointing. I’m constantly realigning it with the frame as it gets knocked by feet when standing at the side of it

Haha the same with the re-aligning. I have to pull out our cot from the wall every couple of days to retrieve lost dummies and then I have to kick align the draw into place!

Thank you for the feedback, I get your point, I guess it's only benefit is to show roughly what is involved in building it and what the finished cot looks like
