I have been carrying your songs with me since 2018 or maybe earlier, the first one I listened to was king which is still my favourite. it brings back sweet memories of when i was in school then i loved manga and books one of my favorite books was a book set in the dream world it changed me and made me dream and I was full of dreams and imagination. now things have changed i grew up i don't go to school anymore, i don't read so many books anymore and i don't watch anime anymore and my imagination is there but it's not like before. but if there's one thing that still manages to make me dream and take me back to the past, it's your songs. they helped me in my dark moments, and I personally felt every text and word.

What's truly sad is that far too few people even know the name Lauren Aquilina. These songs are really good, every single one (with my favourite so far being King or You can be king again). And if I were to mention the song names, even play the songs for anyone I know, 99% of them would say they have never heard it before, but that they think it's amazing. I'm not sure why music that is so good, doesn't spread nearly as much as music that everyone gets tired of hearing. Like how Despacito spread like the plague, and after like a week or two, everyone just wanted it gone. On the other hand, it might be positive that these doesn't spread that much as this good music, is hard to find, and thus once you find it, you treasure it so much more. I'm no psychologist (or I'd help myself first), and I don't study anything that'd help to answer this question. But it is an interesting question. How come the best music, is rarely shared?

Was waiting for a bus in Shepherds Bush(London) this evening under the bridge. Across the street was this huge poster of a young women rising to the surfac of the sea(bubbles, etc. Divine!). Looked closer and it advertised the issue of a forthcoming album. Name - Lauren Aquilina. Never heard of her but the Maltese surname struck a chord. I told my friend a few months ago that I really liked Lauren's music and then, recently, completely out of the blue, she started saying that she'd been listening to fools a lot and that she really liked it. I told someone I loved him, two days ago. An online friend who I bonded with over a shared hobby since about one and a half year. Unexpectedly he said he liked me back, but long distance isn't for him, which is what we'd have to do since we are on two different continents.
