She comes from a lot of privilege and has been given tons of breaks, and she has taken advantage of every single one with grace and has stayed grounded. I admired her so much as a teen, and I admire her even more now as a grown woman. She's fabulous!

when your parents are millionaires ofc they are not going to worry about schooling when they have connections that can help her do what ever she wants in life. If she would of failed she could just fall back in their bank accounts.

@@hellowyeyeye I love the way people who did not grow up with privilege act like wealthy parents are so terrible for using connections or financing their children's dreams as if they wouldnt do the exact same thing if they had the ability. Like wealthy people's children, by virtue of being the children of wealth should just be tossed out onto the pavement at 18 and have no support. Every single person here would do everything they could do to see their children succeed and if they had wealth they'd just do it bigger. FOH with that whole "Boo hoo those rich kids only have what they have because of their parents but they dont deserve it" bullshite. There are exceptioms to every rule but 99.999999% of rich parents want their kids to make a name for themselves. But they are happy to help if they can.

Same here, i wish my parents support what i really want it to be (a fashion designer) and not make me feel so insecure and stupid for choosing fashion design that some years in i just drop off school and did nothing i just felt like i was not good at anything so i did not have the self-esteem to do anything i still don't... I think i was good cause the teachers and some students would always complement my work and even post it in the hallway. But oh well... Now i have kids and my daughter seems to be as into it as me and I'm supporting anything she wants to do, as long as it makes her happy.

Too bad Aunt Becky didn't do this with her girls. "NO!!! Your father and I want you both to go to USC whether you want to or not. I don't care if you already made a million dollars as a beauty influencer. You are STILL going to college." For some reason Lori Loughlin didn't realize ppl go to college so they can GET a high paying job. It's not the other way around. Millionaires don't usually go to college just to get a degree.

She truly used the shows to make a real career. Nowadays reality tv is full of trash, kardashians can be rich and they are still trash. Lauren is def one of a kind on the reality tv world.

Here I am in 2023, watching this interview. I just completed the entire season or Laguna Beach and The Hills. Anytime I see anything LC or related to the show I cannot help but to become overwhelmed by emotions. These shows were on of the biggest highlights of my youth (not even kidding). It reminds me of the struggles I faced and the shows reminded me that im not alone. It was like having friends that I never met. I so miss this time in my life; the lessons it brought me, the copous amount of joy I felt, and simply feeling free. LC was a breathe of fresh air and continues to remain that way. There's a part of me that wishes she would return to reality to but that other part doesn't. She left The Hills and since then she's left so many of us wanting more.

Her parents really instilled strong morals and values that kept her grounded and humble. She’s always very genuine and not shallow like a lot of young stars in Hollywood. So impressive how mature she was at knowing she wanted her own identity as a real fashion designer not just a glamorous girl from Cali , she’s a super smart business woman who earns all her success with her incredible talents. Africa has 54 countries, it could have been better if she had mentioned a country she went to by name. I have a few items from Kenya but I don't know whether they do hand weaving. NB This is just my observation.

I accidentally found myself watching a small documentary on KZbin about Lauren Conrad. Not my scene or my interest. However, I found myself watching a story about a really positive, successful, down to earth yet tabloid LIT, girl/woman whose drive and motivation to move forward in life is just flat out impressive. Banging out NYT's Best Seller books as a successful author, designing affordable clothing lines for her young female demographic (her sweater with the built in glove-like hand warmers had me like "that's sick, I'd wear that." LC is just a breath of fresh air in a world that seems to be glorifying bad behavior and anti-hero protagonists. So, as a non-reality TV fan, this human being is just cool. She seems like the kind of person you'd be lucky to know and be friends with. Keep up the good work Lauren Conrad. You're an impressive individual.

I bought pieces from her first few Kohls collection and I constantly get compliments! She is severely classy and relatable. People ask me where I got my sweater and I tell them who designed it. Her latest collections are a little odd, but I hope she doesn't discontinue her Kohls line!

As a female millennial I was going through similar experiences of trying to make it by doing things with out compromising my integrity. Regardless of color, I think alot of girls liked Lauren because she was a representing a new generation of young girls trying to be successful. She is a class act and deserves all her success.

Lauren has always looked like Lauren. Seeing little girl lauren you know exactly who that is. She was such an inspiration to so many ... she wasn’t trashy she wasn’t going around sleeping around letting it all hang out etc she had a good head on her shoulders but she was still fun to watch. I lovedddd LC through middle && high school

She really is an inspiration and not many on laguna beach/the hills were solid. She is always super classy. She would work at the jobs and opportunities given to her. Where as the other girls/guys did as less as possible.. Lauren and Whitney did most as possible.

True of LC. Not as true of WP. On her own show The City, Whitney didn’t spend a huge amount of time in the office working for Diane van Furstenberg.

Lauren was so smart to parlay her fifteen minutes of fame into a fashion career. One she loves and is passionate about. She knew she needed a bigger space than The Hills or Laguna Beach could ever give her. She’s fast surpassed her cast mates. With all of her business ventures, she will never have to worry about getting a “normal” job. Good for her!
