One of my biggest issues with some Christian music: not being able to tell if they're singing about Jesus or their boyfriend. I really liked Lauren Daigle's 1st album...since then, most of her songs could be played on a pop station and no one would have a clue they were "Christian". So disappointing.

Me2 Bethany! I brought this up to the Pastor of the church I attend about contemporary music. Especially songs that don't mention God or Christ! His son and daughter in law are on music team and like those songs. It's a big drawback to me not becoming a member! I'm about to leave.

@bethanyfaber2012 I completely understand what you are saying, and I used to feel the exact same way. However, just recently it has occurred to me that when I am speaking to someone I feel close to, I seldom, if ever, use their name within the conversation. So now I feel ok about singing worshipful songs that may not contain God's name as long as they do not contradict Biblical truth.♥️

I listened to a sermon by the late Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, the famous Bible preacher, last night on Ephesians 6:10-13, and was really impressed by his tone straight through the sermon. I mean, it was BOLD-not because he was saying anything harsh, but simply because he was saying exactly what he meant, while not simultaneously apologizing. He acknowledged that the verses he was quoting sound harsh to modern audiences (like 1 John 2:4 calling certain people "a liar"), but he maintained that such is the true and valid teaching of Scripture, and that we must live it out. It was not a sermon tailored to the emotions, except those related to bravery and valor. It was a sermon about being a Christian soldier. (I've recently learned the New Testament is full of Greek military terms.) I thought, "How far many of our current pastors have fallen in the area of bold declaration, by comparison to Jones's reasonable yet robust tone. 😞 " And how far society has fallen in its ability to hear raw biblical truth.

" later when I got saved God gave me an opportunity when 2 young ladies came to me to pray for their Sister who made a appointment for a abortion. Fast forward the 2 young ladies came up to me with a picture of a beautiful baby. Their sister decided to not to have an abortion but went to Disneyland. This is what Jesus !!!❤❤❤

Ever since I heard that she never wanted to be a Christian singer, but her producer encouraged her to be because she'd get famous quicker that way, I can't stomach listening to her as a "Christian" artist anymore. Aside from her comments about homosexuality. Edit: So I could not find the article that related to my comment above but I know there was discussion about it back in 2018. The closest thing I could find relating to that claim was an article from a lady discussing how Lauren stated she did not want to be a Christian artist or sing Christian songs.

I don’t think Chris Pratt was wrong for not giving his ex and kid’s mother a shout out for Mother’s Day. Like Allie said- we don’t know their relationship and if it is amicable or not. I, personally, would be irritated if my husband gave his son’s mother (his ex) a shout out for Mother’s Day, but that’s only because of their situation. Sure, she is a decent mother, but she often uses her son to get back at my husband, she doesn’t contribute her fair share of taking care of her son, she degrades and harasses both my husband and I, and the list goes on. Not trying to be rude, but why go out of your way to celebrate a person like that? I think it just depends on everyone’s specific situation, and of course it’s a nice thing to do to give your ex and kid’s mother a shout out, but I don’t think it should be expected either.

I think the recurring dream has to do with fear of failure, self confidence and possibly maturity. I say this bc I had recurring nightmares like this. I'm a nurse and I'd have nightmares that alarms were going off so i run into a patient room. I can't figure out what alarm is going off and other people run in. They ask what's going on and i say idk. They ask who's the nurse and i say idk. Then someone says it's my patient and why don't i know what's going on and how long have i ignored this patient. I look at the clock and it's end of shift so i ignored this patient for 12 hours! I would wake up in bed and panick bc i thought I'd fallen asleep during an emergency. I'd have to "soothe" myself by reminding myself that i was in my own bed which was at home not the hospital. This has driven me to be fairly obsessive about what is going on with my patients as well as pushed me into critical care so i could understand how to rake care of the sickest. By being thorough in my end of shift care and assessment i can reassure myself that i did everything possible. I also started telling myself that i always do my best. My best may vary day to day. Some days it means i kept everyone breathing. Other days it means i can sit with someone who is lonely or confused. I've been a nurse for more than 20 years and i seldom have that dream any more. So idk which factor helped or maybe all of them. Being confident in my skills, being mature and having seen so much, having WAY more self confidence in my skills and having strong skills... All can impact the need for my mind to need to worry about things undone or responsibilities not fulfilled

I think that one of the major problems that white Christians have is that they have been beaten over the head for so long about how evil their families were in the past, and that they should try to make up for the damage that was done by the slavery or done by segregation. I remember year after year in school being taught about the victims of slavery (black people only) and the victims of the Holocaust (Jews only). Every single year we had units on both. A lot of history was missed to make sure that we got those two topics in. Black history EVERY year in January (pre-black history month but for MLK birthday and Arizona wanting the superbowl or something dumb like that). For me that resulted in some frustration and anger towards black people (and I only had a few in my classes since they were mostly Mexican) due to them being the focus. For others it made them have total sympathy for these horrible victims. As though I was responsible for the slavery and my classmates were all innocent. This was in the 90s. It's so much worse now in Arizona schools at least where they start black history month in Jan and continue until March meaning that there are two months out of 9 months that are spent solely on the mistreatment of blacks in America. In Hawaii there was a lot of classes about the poor native Hawaiians and how much white people were evil to them. When you are raised with this coming from your teachers, the media, and then you see all these unfair things happening (because that is all anyone posts on their tiktoks or youtube or whatever) than it is easy to fall for the lie and to believe that white people are the evil ones. We are priming our kids to be racist against whites from a very young age, even if they are white. For all of my life I was taught to be ashamed of my skin color. Taught that I don't have a culture. I am just a white person and white people have no culture or food identity. As an adult, I have learned that my family on one side has been in America since the Mayflower. My family is American. We have been here and mixed with the various groups for 400 years. That makes me American. Not white. Not European. Not anything other than American. But that isn't even an identity I am allowed to claim on forms. I have to mark the chosen groups or "white." I think we need to do some major re-educating of our culture and teach people that we are our own country. We are not an idea. We are a group of people with a history, good and bad. We have customs that are different from other places and that's okay. We are a mix of races, but so are many other countries. It needs to be okay to be American and we need to stop allowing ourselves to be segregated into different groups.

I used to have a similar recurring dream regarding college. I would find myself in a semester without the proper work completed and I just KNEW I was NEVER going to be able to finish my degree. This was after I had already graduated college. Each time, I would wake up with horrible anxiety and then remember that I had already graduated and then take a BIG SIGH of relief!! I've never heard of anyone else having a recurring dream like that but maybe it is more common than we think! LOL! Please look into biological causes to gender confusion and similar issues. There is a book by former MIT scientist, Dr. Anthony Jay, and he goes over lots of evidence how it is affecting genitalia, behavior, and fertility...and we are saturated with the estrogenic plastic chemicals in our daily lives. Also, a senior MIT researcher, Dr. Seneff wrote a book about glyphosate, and I believe that is driving a lot of these issues, including the huge increase in chronic diseases in the last 20 years. I believe people would be helped to know this!

I also heard that her next album is not going to be necessarily considered Christian. We are all called out to be salt and light in a world that is so confused especially today. We cannot just straddle the fence on major issues. God is not happy with a lukewarm Christian. I hope she sees God's peace is worth so much more than the world's praise.

I do wonder why you are so quick to do a story on Lauren Diagle, but not Taylor Swift. It is a well known fact now that Taylor Swift is practicing witchcraft, and does pagan and witchcraft rituals in her concerts. It is also a known fact that many of her songs are anti God and anti Bible. She has openly mocked Christians, and biblical principles such as marriage in her songs. Now, if this was why other singer with such as a big Christian audience you would have made a video about it a long time ago, but I have a feeling the reason that you don't is because you have friends that work for you on Relatable that are Taylor Swift fanatics, and that is why you don't... But truth of the matter is that Christians shouldn't be listening to her music.... And I am not saying this to defend Lauren Diagle because I am not a fan of hers either.

I think this is a measure of “scandal” No one would be truly scandalized now if Madonna blasphemes Jesus and his Mother. This has been her whole career. It’s expected. The question is does Lauren cause scandal by playing dumb concerning her knowledge of the murder of innocent babies? As you’ve pointed out, Taylor swift is a secular hero. Lauren does not present herself thus. If Taylor swifts comes out against abortion, I’m sure Allie would be talking about it.

I appreciate your stand for living a life led by the Spirit that naturally follows biblical truth. Especially since the Holy Spirit so clearly articulated God's heart on these critical issues in the bible. But I also believe many are ill prepared to do it. Lauren may be like one of millions of Christians who haven't been well taught, trained or mentored in how to really be salt and light in the glare of the media or opposition. I've facilitated many trainings for volunteers in the pregnancy center ministry. One of our lessons is on the power we bring to the situation by speaking the Truth in Love. It illustrates the reality that most haven't been taught to do this well. How we all have a tendency to speak Truth or Love, but not both. And often how our judgments about the situation or person get in the way of us doing this in genuine love. The majority, including me as the instructor, admitted this wasn't a strong suit for us, and determined to learn to do it better. When I read the judgmental comments below your post about Lauren, I think it demonstrates the downside of using people you don't know to make a point. I love your strength, boldness and gift to speak truth and help others do the same. However, using her unprepared comments in a layering way to bring home the point of our need to speak up, using words like "no excuse for her, and false humility, sin, apathy, ignorance and fake or toxic empathy", without knowing her heart or background, comes off as character judgment. I my opinion I think there are better ways to illustrate the need to speak up and be prepared, than casting shade on another believer.

I'm a Christian Mother of seven children, 6 of which are boys, they are all adults now aged 19 to 31. Unfortunately two of my sons have declared that they are gay. It breaks my heart that they have made that choice for themselves, however they know my stance on this issue. They know I love them despite their sin, but they know it is sin but to accommodate themselves to their sin they now claim disbelief in God. One of my sons who claims to be gay and will be 30 this year, now says he is non-binary ,he even hates the fact that I will not deter from my biblical convictions about the sin of homosexuality. I represent a constant reminder of his sin and hates me for it, he calls me names and blames his misfortunes on my unacceptance of his lifestyle. My other son who says is gay is convinced that it is the way he was born and that he wants nothing to do with God who doesn't accept him for who he is. Both my sons were encouraged to give into these lifestyles by their public Highschool. I love them, I pray each day for them, whenever they need help with anything, I help out of godly love for them , and because I love them as God ordains, they know I can't condone their sin. It is difficult to see my sons walk this path as I see the suffering they've brought upon themselves but I love them enough to tell them the truth about the consequences of their unrepentant sins.

Chris Pratt... really. There's lots of people that can quote some scripture at the right moment. The dude literally attends one of the most unbiblical mega churches out there (Hillsong), he uses the Lord's name in vain plenty in his films and especially his recent series (The Terminal List), his fruit isn't consistent with Christianity. I'm sorry, I refuse to applaud him for quoting some scripture. Satan quoted scripture too. I get the guy catches a lot of grief for his supposed faith, but I just don't see it. Having better than average morals and quoting scripture, doesn't make a person a christian. I've heard many interviews with Chris Pratt and he's immersed in the prosperity gospel. He'll tell you all day that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life, but that's not the gospel, and he will never mention sin, hell, judgment, or the biggest thing, the cross of Christ. Again, I don't buy it. I pray he grows in his knowledge of the Lord and that he truly does have real faith in the real Christ that scripture describes.

Most of Lauren’s songs have check all 3 & I can’t listen to her songs the same. It looks like she from what I heard when her new album was coming out that it mattered more for her music to be heard than the message of God in the music when she talked about it in Air1 Radio. Jesus was very clear that his kingdom is NO PART OF THIS WORLD. He did not approach things through the politics of his day. Yet he was outspoken about truth. These are not mutually exclusive. Vengeance belongs to the God Jesus prayed to and worshipped. It is possible to feel very strongly about certain values and even to preach outspokenly about them while remaining separate from the world. It is one thing to judge a behavior as wrong, but another to try to control the behavior of others through political means instead of allowing Yahweh to take action in his time and in his way.
