Lauren has a unique, distinct voice, and you would know it was her on the radio. Hers is the voice that could and should win the Voice. Her song " Hold on to Me" was breathtaking and so emotional. I find myself listening to it a lot. I wish her great success. I remember Maelyn Jarmon from season 16. She sang " Fields of Gold " and her performance was stunning. I still go back and listen to it and her many performances. She was the winner that season.

Well, I'm just one old man, I'll soon be 74 years old, and few songs have done to me what Lauren did with this song. I totally love her. A beautiful lady with a big heart. I thought I wd listen to all of the covers of this song I cd find on here, including the original, and not one even came close to the power she displayed. This isn't the greatest performance in the history of The Voice... it's THE greatest live performance I've ever seen from anyone... anywhere. Lauren Daigle is a masterful song writer, stellar performer and powerhouse vocalist and her original version of this song is a monster. Somehow, the version Lauren-Michael Sellers unleashed on the world during The Voice is superior in every way. It's so vulnerable, raw and captivating. The tone of her voice is flawless throughout and the ways she enunciates "hold on" are mesmerizing. The various ways her emotions flow out of her entire body during this performance are truly palpable: The vulnerability and tenderness in her voice from 0:16-0:21 The way her eyes pierce the open air desperately seeking help from 0:45-0:48 The anguish visible in her furrowed eye brows and curled lips from 0:58-1:02 and the defeat in the subtle half blink at 0:59 The way the anguish transforms into pleading as her arms reach out at 1:02 The way her voice cries out in lonely anger from 1:05-1:07 The way her arms add purpose, grace and harmony to her voice and words from 1:05-1:25 The way her entire body ignores the room full of people around her and simply cries out in surrender from 1:31-1:38 and her voice pierces THROUGH the crescendo The way the hurt cuts her syllables short from 1:41-1:49 The way her voice breaks at 1:48 The way her face and arms are begging from 1:54-1:57 The unbridled pain in her eyes at 2:02 Lost in all of this is the fact the whole audience stays nearly silent for the duration of the entire performance almost as if they are captured in awe of the raw power and emotion on display in front of them. It's as if Lauren Daigle wrote Hold On To Me back in 2019 so Lauren-Michael Sellers could sing it for the world on The Voice in 2024. The result is an abject lesson in what a singer is truly capable of when they throw their heart and soul into their craft and sets a bar everyone should strive for. Snoop's reactions at 0:21 and 1:38 show his awareness, as he's realizing in real time, he's actually in the middle of witnessing something truly special... that this performance is beyond all others! Also, kudos to the guitarist for the sublime riff from 0:30-0:33. As someone who has lost everything, been left shattered and empty, hurts to the core and is incapable of expressing it... watching this performance is truly cathartic. Thank you Lauren-Michael Sellers!

I don't doubt what you say because Lauren Daigle does not sing to God. She admitted in an interview that Christians just happen to apply her songs to God but that's not Who she wrote it to. I'm not trying to judge her, she said it. Whereas I believe this lady on the Voice is sincere and singing to God...and it beautifully shows.
