There are dozens of these kind of quotes out there but this iteration comes from Fred Brooks (IBM software engineer). “You can learn more from failure than success. In failure you’re forced to find out what part did not work. But in success you can believe everything you did was great, when in fact some parts may not have worked at all.” It’s that last bit that really sticks out for me in the context of this game, so much good to take away it having earned the right for the result to not matter.

Bradley was poor yesterday I've noticed with Bradley because everyone overhypes and thinks he is this wonderful defender the amount of times I've seen him get done and nobody says anything, I promise you if trent was defending like he was yesterday the whole Internet would have blown up. My opinion has always been Bradley is decent nothing special nothing generational. next season when we have him for 30+ games a season when if /trent leaves we are going to realise. I pray trent signs a deal along with the others

Liverpool have always been about the whole performance even if individuals stand out each week. It feels that now more than ever we judge the team and not so much individual performances. I felt that our young guns deserve praise for making a game of it last night against a decent PSV side who didn’t make wholesale squad changes. Our lads showed that even if they don’t have the live game experience yet they have the ability to implement Slot’s system. I think many of the young lads have a real chance of developing and maturing enough to make future first team players. Without focusing on the result I was really proud of our players last night and I think most fans will feel that way. I don’t know why but Liverpool feels so much calmer these days, we have been lucky enough to evolve as a truly caring fanbase thanks to Slot and of course Jurgen. Who can say what we will win this season, all I can say is I’m really enjoying the ride ❤
@DazedAndConfuzing2 күн бұрын
I loved watching the youth play. Definitely shows that the squad has a few holes: center back, a proper back up for the 6 though I love Endo’s heart and fight, he would’ve better served us in center back I think. Maybe another goal scorer in attack. Send out some of the kids on loan, sell who the club think can be moved on for good fees.

Most of our academy players are Championship level at best. Our academy for the most part is rubbish compared to other top clubs. Trent has been our standout academy player since his debut in 2016. Chelsea, Arsenal, City and United have a way better youth system with a higher caliber of players.

Why can’t Liverpool buy a top class player in Jan to help give the team the best chance to win the most silverware? Excuse about Jan being a tough window is dead - we’ve bought some of our better players in Jan - Diaz, gakpo, vvd of course. Only signing for the year was $10M Chiesa and now the winter window is also too difficult? And no contract extensions either? Could be a really special year, one of the biggest clubs in the world, why not spend a little $ to give your manager the best chance to make this an incredible one?

You basically said the squad depth isn’t good enough for a team wanting to compete and try to win it all - duh! Same thing has been said by most for years. FSG will buy none - check out what they did to the Red Soxs and tell me you still think we will do anything. Mookie Betts…
