Thought Curtis was off his game in the first half, was finding decent positions but not doing anything with it, and the crowd were getting frustrated with him. Turned it around and was much better in the second half, and got the standing ovation too

Watching that first half it reminded me of something we used to do in my playing days. For the first 20-30 mins of a match we would do nothing but launch crosses into the opponents box. But this was designed to push the opponents defense deeper and give them a false sense of security. So when we actually started to play our normal game we'd get that half yard of space to get shots off in and around their box. It surprisingly effective how quickly a defender can subconsciously start to expect certain actions.

Nice perspectives across the board here. A note on the goals conceded this season... we only conceded 8 goals in our first 13 PL games before Konate got injured, then in the following 4 games without him we have conceded 9... that Konate, VVD pairing really turns our back third into a fortress, luckily we are so versatile and prolific atm we haven't had to worry.

strangely I wouldn't blame Joe Gomez for any of those goals the Madison goal was Virgil turning his back and he wasn't even standing in front of the goal Gomez coming across effectively blocked off the right side of our goal Madison only had one place to put it, I don't know why Ali was flat footed with Macca making an unforced error and Virg and Ali not covering themselves in glory, it was crap defending all round

Can you look at how TAA desteoyed our first half? 200 crosses just to show off his crosses which were shit anyways. And people point at Darwin. TAA cannot defend. He has believed the hype and thinks he's far better than how he actually is. Just remember him hoing up and down the field being compared to Cafu to this lazy liability. 2nd half and changes Slot made to his position shows he ws the problem. He wasn't allowed to croas. He was not allowed to take corners either. He will never go to Madrid. His PR team just tey to push pressure on LFC for more money. The best he can do will be Paris saint german.
