i'm kind of in the same boat. the man-made religion i was born into and indoctrinated with, i find to be extremely limiting. and i went to Catholic school on top. so it was constantly being told what to do, what to think, what to wear, what not to do/say/wear, who to accept, who not to accept....and that's without mentioning all the pedophile priests that i shook hands with, that gave me communion/confirmation/*confession* (how ironic), lectured me about good and evil and everything else....one of the priests who was outed as a pedohpile in this area actually wanted me to do "community service" in the church alone when i was in middle school...i tremble at the thought of what might have happened to me if that had taken place i struggle with being close to God, and i'd be lying if i said i never questioned if a God even exists...but I know if he does, the imperfect humans...scratch that...criminals that have tainted his teachings of loving your neighbor etc, are not bound for any eternal paradise

What does the Bible say about sin? The Bible makes it clear to the outcome of sinners if they don't repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord. That is a truth statement and a doctrine. Those claims are religious and dogmatic. Christianity is religious. This new age spirituality and love has turned many people into wolves in sheep clothing. Spirituality and love is subjective and leads to moral relativism. Christianity is a religion because Jesus says - I am the way the truth and the life. Jesus Christ makes a truth statement. People can listen to his wisdom and follow his ways or not. Spirituality doesn't contain wisdom. Spirituality is man centered, religion is God centered because God is the author of truth. Loosing a religion (church style) and live and love the Lord in a daily base alone with Him and adore God daily is what she mend I think and what my experience is in daily life and have set me free and got me so positive and shared with so many people every chance I get in life, is that not what Jesus ask us to do? To share the good word, the Gospel should be a daily thing from every Christian. That's Christian living. 💝

This is how I feel some times when I sin and repent and some times I don’t feel forgiven. I just feel shame. So I keep pretending everything is ok until I finally break down and cry out to GOD and beg to hear his voice again so I know he loves me. I feel some times like I am so far from him and it terrifies me because life is not worth living with out him and with out him their is no hope. This is why I hate myself and my sin. I can’t wait until the day when we won’t even be tempted to sin.
