Hey guys just to CLARIFY, I did not say that SNDK made the Fire Fairy image, I said “I don’t think he did” and he most likely could’ve found it online and brought attention to it especially with how big his platform is. I said that he possibly could’ve made sarcastic remarks about it (according to people on Reddit who translated his video) not necessarily egging children on to do what the “game” said, but like mentioned, because he’s a big Russian KZbinr and because it was regarding a kids show and a popular search term by children, children could’ve stumbled upon his video and saw the image and (not knowing it was sarcasm) possibly could’ve attempted the game. I AM NOT blaming him for the game or anything regarding the incidents

As not native, but a person who knows the russian the SNDK video where the fire fairy image was shown instantly after that he joked about firemen putting out fire, so it was pretty obvious if you knew the language, which was the target audience anyway.

He literally says "I hope no-one attempts this game" right before reading the text and then says "the firemen will be carrying a burnt child's body" directly after. I promise, no-one, not even a child, would hear that and go "hm i should try this" Also the video is age-restricted anyway - it shows a banner that you need to click through to confirm you want to watch it

I don't know how it is in the English version of the episode "Miss Magix", but in the German version her hair was not "just" made into an afro, but more importantly the hair had the consistency of jelly after the bewitchment. The girl wasn't upset about her hair turning into an afro, but that her hair felt and moved like jelly. That's why I never understood why so many people were upset about this... For me, having jelly hair was a legitimate reason to be upset.

The Miss Magix episode really did upset me as a kid. I was already insecure about my coils, but seeing it on TV honestly made me want to just straighten my hair for it to look "long" even more. Like I remember watching that episode and not knowing what exactly was wrong, but I knew that something about that scene was odd. I think the most triggering part for me now is the part where Bloom touched her hair and made it "bounce", which was even more wrong than I remember lol.

If my memory serves me correctly in the 4kids dub of Miss Magix the black girl with the Afro was actually crying because she made a mistake in a spell to make a decision, instead of saying “choice” she said “voice” and her voice went high pitched and squeaky.

It's funny that the the 4kids dub was pulled for being too unfaithful, but it was also the only dub I know of that recognized how damaging that Miss Magix scene was and changed it so her voice was spelled to be squeaky instead. Sometimes being unfaithful to the source material is a good thing.

I am a fan of SNDK videos and a Russian myself. Those Winx Club videos are sarcastic. As he stated, every possible way of "becoming a fairy" was found on the Internet. So a kid could have misunderstood it or an adult hadn't monitored the videos kids had been watching as the video stated that it was not for the kids audience. And SNDK isn't known for trolling people, so it would be pretty strange for him to troll kids with killing methods

I can sorta understand why the Winx Club KZbin channel took the "Miss Magix" episode off KZbin. They realized something could have gotten them in trouble, and they took it down no problem. I can respect it. Back when it aired, I could also see why no controversy took place. Also, what messed up person decided to make a fake Winx "game", where you basically try to light your house on fire? I'm guessing it was made as a joke and some kids took it way too seriously, but still?!

10:23 - I always found it disgusting that the entire storyline surrounding the Trix bullying Lucy for her looks and then humiliating her at the pageant was considered completely fine, but the afro scene was "going too far". Like, the entire episode is about shaming people who don't fit a narrow definition of "pretty", not just that tiny clip. Granted, Lucy is a witch (whom the writers seem to hate), so that probably had something to do with the episode being untouched for so long.

in miss magix as well as the hair scene, lucy being called ugly made me really sad. i have the same nose type as her if it was handled in a non-comedic way that seriously addressed the beauty standard and self confidence, i would have liked that. i can't remember if lucy's condifence about her appearance gets developed later on, but i hate how that episode treated her like she really was ugly

The scene to which you're referring had Stormy on her back while laughing and kicking her legs, and it's only in those scenes that she's wearing a (skort? scooter? whatever it's called when it's a skirt with a built-in pair of shorts) instead of her usual skirt to keep the show from airing a full-on panty shot.

What many people tend to forget about Winx Club is that it's an italian cartoon, not american. Racism isn't a big thing in Europe and that's why the writers didn't really think if they should kill off an indian coded character like Nabu or make fun of a black person. I don't say that just because a character is black they should lose their loved ones like Aisha, but people have to remember that things relevant in US aren't relevant in Europe.

I know about the "Fire Fairy Game" because my mum kept going on about it when I was watching WinX. It's a nasty and horrible thing for anyone to do and idk why (if SNDK made it) SNDK made such a stupid thing. Nevertheless, it unfortunately exists and has cause irreparable trauma to young children and that's the worst part about it. Thank god nobody died from it though. That's the only positive in that Fire Fairy Game Edit: y’all dragging me and the video creator for not knowing Russian is stupid. Like literally. Okay, so I'm from Russia, and this is so surrealistic to see a youtuber from other country who's talking about our local winx controversy, haha So! About Sndk. I was around when he just released all his winx club videos! Yep, there's not only one. Basically he reviewed all these ridiculous ways to become a fairy in his sarcastic and entertaining way. And I don't remember it very well but I think he specifically said not to try any of that! So he definitely wasn't the reason why this girl got hurt. But you know who was? People who came up with this in the first place! In his videos Sndk showed how administration of one forum/site dedicated to "becoming fairy" replied to children in the spirit of "yeah, try this weird stuff, you will surely become a real fairy!!". I honestly have no idea why and how this happened, maybe it was just a bunch of internet trolls who wanted to make fun of kids, but.. It's really sad that actual people got hurt in the process.. And yeah, this wasn't a "game" or "challenge", they claimed this to be real, of course some five year old child would believe that! My speech is over, haha! Hope my english wasn't too clumsy, trust me, I tried my best :D

Winx Club is a old Italian cartoon of the old ways and it is true that it has many secrets and pasts behind it. Perhaps even more then what we know. But somehow by learning and understanding we can find out more. Old cartoons for kids can also teach us great lessons and can also give us a very great time and make us never forget for our past and childhood and life that i will always be the girl to remember that one fairy cottage that is small in the middle of a moonlight forest, in my heart. But there are also infiltrating of these cartoons where these people who create these things such as “the fire fairy game” are often portrayed as to exploit they’re opportunity to destroy this childhood and past but to see dark secrets in which it is only an illusion or imagination. But now we can understand everything and we always know what to do, i am only thankful for this wonderful project of Iginio Straffi and this adventure and i will never forget the old winx shows. “Magic Bloom Pilot 1999 and Winx just fairies 2000-2001”

There's also that one thing about Miss Magix that I've never seen anyone bring up (granted, I'm from an Old World country which has different stereotypes compared to the US, so that one clip flew over my head, so I eas focused on other things). It's bizarrely violent compared to the rest of the show, and we never learn if any of Trix' victims were okay at the end (we never see most of them again, so we don't even know if they're, like, alive). People often feel sorry for Lucy, but public humiliation is not so bad compared to concussions/several broken limbs and some sort of eye injuries/whatever else the other contestants had to suffer. Honestly, had I never seen the hair part discussed, I would have assumed it was the ridiculously brutal injuries (in an otherwise lighthearted, non-slapstick-heavy show) that got it banned

The problem with that scene is that afro-textured hair has pretty recently allowed in professional workplaces. Before men would shave their head and women would go through extensive flat ironing to be employed. Even some schools discriminated against afro hair

SNDK was making review of ways children writing about becoming fairy on the internet. It was comedic video and he made it clear that this is bad idea to put up gas in your house. So thats clearly not his fault. Before this video he was releasing "reviews" on dumb advertisement so everybody knew that things he was showing is meant to be funny and shouldnt be bought or done irl

I remember having a DVD of the Winx Club that served as my introduction for the series. In that DVD, was the episode, Miss Magix. The big difference was that the girl got a spell wrong and her voice became much higher pitched and ran away because of it. The only thing the Trix seemed to have done was make fun of her by calling her a rooster which made her cry more. I never liked the new dubs because they were so confusing and didn’t sound natural.

I have one issue with the Miss Magix portion of this video. At the very least, imo, you should have countered what the 4Kidz dub did with that scene. Most long time fans may know, but newer fan probably wouldn't unless they looked. Now this part deeply is just my opinion, but the official channel should have ONLY taken down the Rai dubbing and not 4Kidz. The scenes play out COMPLETELY different between the two. And 4Kidz never brings up the hair issue.

Hey! About lost dubs: Portugal has a season 1 lost dub, the “Via Satélite” dub, which only aired at “Canal Panda” channel in 2006. Only one full episode of this dub plus promos were found. PS: Portugal’s main dub from season 1 that you’ll find on DVDs and most commonly on KZbin, it’s the “Nacional Filmes” dub :)

These episodes shouldn’t have needed to be banned, because the makers should have stopped and thought about how this could potentially hurt someone’s feelings and either change it to something less offensive or scrap it entirely. Like in the Afro episode, they could have just made her hair very dirty and sticky since no hair is naturally like that.

I was completely disgusted with the "Fire Fairy Game" because the "person" who do that thing it's a monster, i remember watching videos to have Winx Powers when i was 5-6 years old, And at my school my classmates were also looking for these types of videos, I can't imagine if this challenge would have come out around those years, maybe a lot of my schoolmates whould had burns in they skins, Fortunately those videos That my schoolmates and me we watch were a kinda of a ritual with flowers, cornstarch, water, soaps and perfumes, and with strange magic words.

Indonesian also have two other lost dubs, GTV and KompasTV. GTV dubbed Season 1-4 sometime during 2008-2012(Season 3-1st half of Season 4 is most likely used by the Nickelodeon dub) KompasTV dubbed only Season 3-4 sometime during 2013-2016, only 1 clip is found, they didn't dub any songs, I heard that GTV(or Nickelodeon re-dub) dubbed Magic Winx. There also is a Lativi dub, which dubbed seasons 1-2 in 2005-2007.

1:34 we have a filipino dub of the early seasons of winx club!?! And im not suprised that it came from abs-cbn since they were notorious for dubs for animated shows lost media (example: Sailor moon filipino dub, only a few clips surfaced around and some clips from later seasons are labeled as "rare" which sucks, powerpuff girls z: only one clip surfaced from the internet which is just depressing since i enjoyed the powerpuff girls as a child. And much more-) And also, i always wonder why another tv program "tv-5" only decided to dubbed Season 6 and not just the early seasons instead (which they strangely never did..) to give filipino audience who werent able to buy the english blockbuster dvds by their parents more context about winx club's storyline back then.. which is literally just confusing in general!?! I watched the Filipino (Tagalog) dub for seasons 1-3 as you mentioned . I expected TV5 Philippines to do the same way back 2016 but they also dubbed only 3 seasons which are seasons 6 - 8 with a redubbed version for season 7 (in 2020-2022).

I think winx just fairies had 1 or 2 episodes made since the 4kids opening had different scenes from the show. I think the best way to describe it is that the comic's first two issues had similar scenes, so most likely we just got the winx just fairies in just comic form.

Winx had so many different versions it gets kind of confusing. Really with the 4kids changes. Also one scene when the trix are laughing in miss magix stormys skirt kind of fell down or isn’t covering her. Happens a few times in show. Bloom too. Why would they do thst though. Also There is a Lost Turkish Dub The current Turkish episodes uplodaded on KZbin is called the "New Version" Old and New Version dont have much differences except the quality and the Enchantix song wasnt dubbed in the Old version and Enchantix was called "Üstün Sihir" meaning "Superior Magic" (I believe only the opening and closing were dubbed in the old version) You can find some clips here and there but other than that its lost There is A lost Armenian and Azeri dub too I believe Also Im suprised you didnt mention Irish dub tbh

Oh I’m sorry, thats supposed to be there to introduce winx club Asia (even tho it’s in Thai) for the Mandarin dub. It’s not meant to be the Iceland dub (that one is lost). Any dubs that are shown, they are shown at the beginning of the one I’m talking about👍 Hope this clears up any confusion 😁

K, right off my mind, checkout Monster high "the lost movie". It was meant to be monster high's and ever after high's eventual crossover which was Mattel's other popular brand at the time which took place in the same universe that was being teased very much since the brand started, but in 2015 it just became way more apparent that it was definitely happening. The movie was meant to come out in 2016, but it was scratched due to ever after high's eventual cancelation and monster high's lackluster reboot that only lasted a bit longer than ever after high. There are many pictures from unused concept arts for the movie, especially in ever after high's case cause it was meant to be their debut in the cgi universe. Some 3d character models that were leaked and a few years later even the whole storyboard of the movie was uploaded, and even the official channel started uploading some unfinished storyboards with complete voice acting on their channels around the time where the movie was meant to be released. They themselves named it officially, the lost movie. There are many pictures on the internet but if you want I can send you some pictures I have found and explain them to you. I was a full fledged monster high fan at the time so I can give you clear explanations of what they might be.@@LaurenG
