Seriously love all of your declutters, Lauren! I can assure you that the Tower28 ones smell weird. I bought 4/5 all at different times, and they ALL smelled the exact same. Everyone says they smell good, but as someone who's sensitive to smells, I think they smell nauseating. I don't think you got a bad one!!

I feel like I like the idea of them but in the end they are very skippable whenever I get ready in a hurry and I'm bad with reapplying them. I also hate when they trasfer, wear off, dry my lips out. I used to wear lipgloss a lot but with masks there's no point in reapplying.

@@cherrynicole4511 I have small lips with a kinda irregular lipline so my favourite combo is lipliner and lipgloss. I don't think stains are the effect I want. I want my lips to be defined in shape but also not dry and slightly lighter than my natural colour for everyday wear. Lipliner and lipgloss did give me that graceful fade unless I didn't have my hair up lmao

The Fresh lip balms are amazing. The blood orange one is to die for and smells like the zest. I think the lime mint reminds me of a subtle mojito. I go through them so quickly!

I had forgotten about the Revlon Kiss Balm. Quite a nice product - comfy, nice tint, and has SPF. I wonder if they've changed the packaging though - the lid used to always slide off in my purse. : (

I love the Milk and Kopari lip balms. I feel like they actually help my lips for awhile, not just a couple minutes like other balms. I have so many lip products but I have a hard time decluttering formulas I like.

this reminds me of when i took a la mer lip balm from my mom’s bathroom. Out of curiosity i looked up the price on sephora and i was so shocked at the price that i left a kind of angry review telling people to only buy it if they want to burn money. that lip balm is as mediocre as it gets and the price still makes me angry LMAO

I love lipstick, but I "only" own about 30, which still seems like a ton to me. Then again, I wear makeup for fun and for community theater, not to review, make videos, etc. I also keep my lip products ruthlessly organized and decluttered, because I love lipstick so much I want the lip products I own to be only the ones I love.

i haven't bought any lipsticks since the mask mandate in my state went into effect, and I was super proud of myself until i realized i had just started buying lip balms up a STORM. And by that I mean 3 in the span of 1 month. making my total 8. Which is waaaay too much for me. i've used up one, and gave an unused one to my sister that I will buy for myself again when i have whittled down the number a little bit more.

I love the Tower 28 blushes and everyone was raving about glosses. I bought the first one in Fire and it smelled like rotting fruit and the color disappeared after 15 minutes. I returned and bought the milky formula in Cashew and it was the same exact smell!!! Can’t handle it. Love my Fenty and Juvia’s instead.

The Tower 28 gloss...I thought I had a bad one too because everyone I've seen talk about it mentions how the scent is mild and pleasant and mine smelled gross (not like it had gone bad per se, but just...off). I'm curious if you get another if it smells the same to you, or if there really is something wrong with some batches!

And if you're really trying to finish your pot balms and you can't pass them on, a good tip is to heavily apply them at night and just use them as nightly lip masks! Or just throw them in different bags/cars/jackets so you always have a lip balm on you.

Kassie Tatcher posted a speed review for her Sephora haul today, and she mentioned she returned the Tower 28 lip product. She said it smelled bad and she could “taste” the grossness of the smell. I don’t think you got a one off!

I do think it smells weird, but it’s really comfortable, so it’s kind of a toss-up. It smells kind of chemical-y to me.

Isn’t Tower 28 a “clean” brand? I’m guessing it might smell off because there’s no artificial scent to cover the natural scent, or maybe no preservatives to keep them fresher longer so they turn quicker than they can be sold.

I have the Milk Kush Green Dragon balm and I loathe the scent of it bc I think it's the sage oil or something. It's such a good balm though I just deal with it
