Top three are just classics. "Dance Again" is fun, "Wagon on Fire" is suspenseful, and "Happy Ending" is hopeful. A little sad that "My Own Eyes" "Dynamic Duo" and "I Was" is so low but then again they're not really 'closing' songs for an act so totally understand about that. But those moves from Joey, Joe, and Jeff. DAMN. ;P

Yeah, top three are interesting because they’re representative of three of the most common styles of Act 1 closing numbers. “Wagon on Fire” - A dramatic event happens, leaving the audience to wonder how the characters will possibly sort this situation out. See “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.” “Happy Ending” - in anticipation of an important event. The event actually happens right before the curtain falls in this case, tying this back to “Wagon on Fire.” See “Tonight (Quintet).” “Dance Again” - just a good old plain old burst of energy, You can see this in most Act 1 closing numbers. (this is not 100% my own thoughts lmaoo this was in a book I read)

Status quo is so underrated. Personally I think it's the best Joey solo ever (don't come for me). And one of my favorite songs from starship. I wish more ppl would appreciate it. And is so amazing on the soundtrack. Yesss ppl finally realising how amazing listen to ur heart is. Is this sad that I know all the choreography to dance again? I don't think so personally Wagon on fire is the best tto song ever. And on the soundtrack it's just magic. Such a great ending song (I would put it as number 1 personally) Who doesn't like happy ending? You get everything you want; Jasmine being stupid, Aladdin being insane, and Dylan Saunders belting (which is all u need in life) That was my very long opinions on the song placement.

happy ending is one of the most amazing act closers i’ve heard full stop. it shows ja’far beginning to believe in everything he refuted earlier in the show and sets the pathway for him being reunited with his wife while also showing the development of aladdin and jasmine. it shows aladdin is nothing more than what he seems but jasmine has the potential to be so much more than what she appears to be. twisted has some of the best writing i’ve ever seen and i will never fully grasp the thought that went into the soundtrack.

Here's my list: 10. Listen to Your Heart (I'm gonna be honest, I haven't seen all of these shows, but I've heard all these songs, and as a concept, I'm not a fan of MAMD. That kind of humor is better for me in small doses. That being said, this is the best song from the show I've heard). 9. The Night Belongs To Us (I just simply like the other songs better). 8. My Own Eyes (I just like the other songs better). 7. Dynamic Duo (I can't say anything other than what I've said for the past two). 6. Status Quo (Read prior reasonings). 5. Dance Again (I love this song, and think it's a great Act 1 ending song, but the other songs are either more enjoyable, work better, or are both of the above). 4. Those Voices (A beautiful, amazing song, but not an Act 1 closer). 3. Join Us and Die (TGWDLM is my favorite show, but this is not my favorite song from the show, compared to the ones come before it, it's not as good). 2. I Was (I have too much of an emotional attachment to this song for it to be any lower. Sorry). 1. A Tie between Wagon Is On Fire and Happy Ending (Talk about some Act 1 closers. These are both amazing Act 1 closers, up there with some Broadway greats such as One Day More, Non-Stop, and Santa Fe from Newsies, and plenty others).
