As someone who's been watching and playing these sorts of stuff since they were twelve, you just gotta remind yourself that all these intense emotions you're feeling is from the rapid release of adrenaline ,Cortisol, aldosterone,epinephrine ,norepinephrine etc , these neurological/hormonal activities are just your body's natural immunative response to a temporary stimulant .They will pass. Also most of these"scary" games and movies are just exploitation flicks that just rely on cheap gore,jump scares, sound effects and the likes of that to shock viewers and play mind games , and those "threats" and statements like "based on true events", "we are inside your house", "you are defenseless" just further intensify their intentions to gaslight and manipulate you into being scared, once you know their tricks,nothing can damage you in the long run. Also it'd be better if you avoid downloading games that ask for personal data/passwords/access to webcams and such , a lot of them are scams that hack into your device and not only scare you out of your mind but also steal from you and invade your privacy Stay safe and brave!❤
