Wild Partying in 1957

Partying in 1957 with my parents Einar & Anne Lanaro and dear friends Jim & Thora (both couples still happily married today), Dad's cousin Norma (still loving in Minnesota), his cousin Hershel, Marlis, and my Aunt Peg (living in Calif.) And some dear folks no longer with us.......

Wow, to see my g-parents Marlys and Herschel so young and dapper. Its just fun to see all of them in such an innocent time in our history. Because Im pretty sure that was a "to-do hoopla". And they were letting it all hang out. It humanized my grandparents showing them letting loose and not being so "grandparent-ish", but being so young and vibrant. (even though as far as grandparents go, mine where very laid back and progressive in their thinking) RIP Herschel Neil, wish I knew you as an adult

Thanks for the nice comment; we must be 3rd (or 4th) cousins. Yes, it is hard to believe sometimes that our parents/grandparents were actually young, cool, and liked to party. And what a beautiful bunch they were (and still are.....wrinkles and all). It's nice that we can keep the good memories alive through modern technology. - Laurie
