Thank you, Katri! Now I finally understood everything about it! :)

Ha-ha :-) You're welcome: "Hey Baby, fertile lady with special powers, our Mari. The instrument was playing (probably bagpipe or more likely kannel), a man named Aadu (Estonian for Adolf) from Krapi region or farm brought straw into the room (why? Because it was an earth floor). Hello you from near and you from far away, has the person with long legs still not arrived?" Now you understand the song better than most Estonians, next step would be to ask folklore scholars. Love the way you sing it!

Lauris, awesome! Totally perfect! Tibu indeed means "chick", but here "Tere, tibukene" means "Hey Baby". Later in the song you find out that her name is Mari.

Lauris, there is a good chance that I have heard your mother sing that song. I remember hearing it by a Latvian choir sometime in early 1990s. Actually, that song is neither about chickhen nor babies, it's a nonsensical surrealist nursery rhyme.
