@@toriholland8113 YES, plus you also save money & the menstrual cups have a much larger capacity than tampons! The real amount of blood absorbed by tampons & pads is so little, it's very deceptive. The cup lasts for me for the whole day, usually I would use 2-3 super tampons.

It can be used longer time than the tampons, it is reusable, it is super comfortable and it is environment friendly because you can use a menstrual cup for over 10 years. I don't like the idea of it collecting all the fluids. At least with pads and tampons, it's being absorbed so it doesn't gross you out as much.
@almasy87-sayuri
@almasy87-sayuri 3 жыл бұрын
@@barbaro267 Actually, the blood inside does not smell. The smell you get is from being absorbed into the tampons. But the blood being absorbed into the tampon is much much worse then just being collected, hygienically. And tampons can give you Toxic Shock syndrome - it's rare, but it's very dangerous. In truth, a damn and completely soaked tampon with clots and whatever is way more gross then just a little blood in a small cup that you simply empty in the toilet or sink. :P It's just that it looks scary because people are not used to it.. but in the end it's your blood - nothing to be ashamed or grossed out about!

Nothing can permanently “break” the hymen - if it tears or bruises, it heals. It’s also not there to be broken, it doesn’t need to be “broken”. It only becomes more flexible through regular intercourse and in late adolescences it also tends to atrophy and be less noticeable - if noticeable at all. And FYI, some people with vaginas are born entirely without a hymen 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sex Ed at schools is such a disaster.

It's not at all difficult to find pads in the U.S., although it may be true there are more brands of tampons than pads. But the shelves are always stocked with more pads in every store I've ever been to. Personally, I switched to reusable pads because it's more economical and eco-friendly. I'm never going back to disposable. They're much more comfortable and absorbent. My cramping even lessened, which I had heard might happen but wasn't expecting because I've always had pretty mild cramping. I'm shocked it's even milder now.

I would LOVE to see a video showing a menstrual cup (like organiCup) and absorvent underwear/reusable pads (like Thinx) ❤️❤️ It would also be interesting to do a before and after opinions, to see which sanitary product (reusable or not) they end preferring, as choices vary between women and that's completely normal. ❤️ It's a fantastic way of raising awareness! I personally prefer reusable pads and absorvent underwear, as normal pads' plastic and fragance can be very irritating and I prefered a more environmentally-friendly choice. And it's not that bad: 1. Blood does not have a bad odor, it actually doesn't have "almost" odor at all (it smells like normal blood: a bit like iron) and if it ends up smelling, its probably because: 1. You wore the pad for too long 2. You clean the pads with fraganced soap (switch to a non-fraganced one). I tell you, fragance is responsible for odor 90% of the time (!!!) that's why plastic pads smell after being used! 2. It actually doesn't take that much to clean (it takes longer to dry! :S So you better have several) and it also helped me having a better relationship with my period, as my blood doesn't scare me or disgusts me anymore ❤️ Menstrual cup didn't work for me for everyday life (I still have it for emergencies and swimming pool) and that's is also okay! Lastly, I would like to add that is not necessary to choose only one sanitary product! ❤️ Many people even use two products at the same time: some people that wear tampons/menstrual cup, use absorvent underwear at the same time to feel more secure in case of leaking!

There is an advance to pads: Tampon unfortunately not only absorb the blood internally but healthy and necessary vaginal fluids. That’s not so good for the vaginal flora and can promote things like yeast infections. Pads, if not treated with irritating chemicals, are a slightly healthier option. However what’s important in the end is that you feel comfortable. I use period underwear myself - it’s amazing and doesn’t ever feel wet at all! :)

It’s not true that it’s difficult to find sanitary napkins aka pads in the USA. Truly. There’s plenty of brands and styles- a many women like myself can’t use a tampon for the entirety of a period due to heavy flow. So a lot of us use them during the first few days while it’s heaviest- and also overnight. Sometimes even overnight with a tampon on heavy days to prevent accidents in the bedding. We all know *that’s the annoying!* The other reason women will choose a pad is age. A lot of young ladies don’t use tampons till they are later in their teens.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So you’re welcome! One thing to note most Americans don’t imitate Korean dance, music or style. Omg y'all need to try a cup. Once you start on a cup you'll never want to use a pad or tampon ever again.

In most cases it absolutely isn't. If you haven't had sex yet, their can be a thin skin around your vagina to protect it. And that's why people say it hurts but it'll just hurt one time. Also, tampons have different sizes and they're pretty small so it doesn't hurt that much. But I personally really recommend it bc you don't feel the blood flOatinG out of you which is for me very distracting and you can do sports and swimming. And you also don't have to worry that someone might see the pad through your pants ^^

I hate tampons. No offense to those who use them but I think they're for sl--s. They can't not leak more than a pad and it really serves no purpose to wear them. Why even make them?

@strawberrycakecow6791
@strawberrycakecow6791 3 жыл бұрын
they're more comfortable than pads. they don't wrinkle or shift around so they're easier to move around in. you can also swim in them. and there's no point in saying "no offense" if the next thing you say is obviously offensive. i don't understand your logic either. why are they for sluts? it makes no sense.
