This Song will never get old bc it is the Word of God. Lauryn is a psalmist and those with ears to hear and understand appreciate her boldness in Christ. When I was 18, I sang this song for my granddad before he died at one of the parties we threw to send him off (he had prostate cancer and it spread everywhere). Someone asked if anyone wanted to sing and I didn't even think about the lyrics. It was just the first song I thought to sing. I closed my eyes and sang maybe half of the song and when I opened my eyes, all of my family members were crying. I didn't realize that this was me telling my papa that we loved him and needed him but we would be alright when he passed. I know Lauryn has a different meaning to this song but I will always remember this as the first and last song I sang to my papa❤

LORD Jesus Ms. Hill, who knew I would be weeping and worshiping this as gospel album a WHOLE 25 years later. This is on some “I been through some real life $hit and come out alive the other side by the grace of God worship vibe. Thank you Lauryn. This album is healing me. Hiking on the beach, snot running down my nose, tears running down my face behind my sunglasses, and fighting for my mind and my daughters, weeping like a baby because this is how much I am walking out in faith right now. That’s how much I trust Him. That’s how much I need Him right now. But He freed my mind and that’s why I love Him. He called me out of darkness. He gave me the grace to leave Egypt. 17 dollars in my bank account because of this legal battle against a narcissist but fu¢k it I AM FREE.
