Lauv has been so needed, not just for me but for the industry and other people in general... yeah we have a lot of Male artists like Bazzi, Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber & Charlie puth etc etc! But Lauv is so brutally honest and doesn’t just talk about his relationships he talks about things going on like, drugs and the internet, or sad forever, or modern loneliness. We have a lot of female artists like that but for me he is probably the only male artist that’s gets DEEP into topics, as well as Alec Benjamin but Lauv gets more into it. Idk if that’s just me but yeh

So true! Wish more artists would try to talk about more than just relationships, or at least superficially, those are usually the songs that hit you the most. If you'd like, try to check out bts' discography as well. Although the language barrier might be a deterrent for some, once you overcome and look into their lyrics, their collab also just makes a lot of sense, considering the topics they also cover:)

I literally have so much to say about this interview and this album even though I’m not even finished watching yet. I really love how he talks about mental health. Songs like Sad Forever and Modern Loneliness really resonate with me as a person who struggles with anxiety and depression. But even beyond that, I constantly feel like Lauv steals my emotions and puts them into songs. Mean It is almost word for word representative of a relationship I had. I’m really glad you guys asked about Billy. I know it’s a random song but it’s one of my favorites on the album because it’s so fun with a cute message. Who is also another one of my favorites. I’m sad that they didn’t get studio time together because I feel like they could be great friends but BTS is so crazily busy and they’re killing it so I’ll just have to keep that on my wish list. Canada is amazing too and Alessia has such a beautiful voice. I really want to get into her music more and this might be the starting point. Don’t worry about dragging the US anthem, it’s racist anyways 😂
