NAKOGAMEZ I think he also drew the left and right frames separately (I think, the view moves around too fast to be sure). That's dedication!
@osimmac7 жыл бұрын
how else are pixel animations made? :l
@sander28177 жыл бұрын
+Osimmac Well, for example, by taking the previous frame, copying that over to the next frame and then making changes to that. NAKOGAMEZ was impressed that instead of doing that, this guys draws every single frame from scratch instead of doing it the lazy way.
@PunchfalconGaming7 жыл бұрын
Well, to be honest, it's kind of easier to work free hand, don't get me wrong using something like dragon bones is cool but if you want truly fluid movement you do it by hand
@osimmac7 жыл бұрын
exactly, if you're copying frames it's bound to look odd because if you don't put much effort into it, many pixels stay in the same spot, and it looks off, so you might as well do it free hand; you'll be faster and have better quality in the long run. so i guess i should've said: "how else are _good_ pixel animations made?"

Question: You animate them moving in a certain direction. When you import them into the game, does this cause issues with the character's position? Or do you create a spritesheet with each individual frame?
@framerate2697 жыл бұрын
You can easily replace hitboxes to fix with the animation frame by frame. especially if you using game softwares like Game Maker or Construct.

When I look at it like this, pixel art seems easy it just takes time, patience, and effort to get at how you *"really"* want it to be. And now I've learned a good way to start a big project is to sketch out essentially a "scribble" of the general shape and posture. This helps a lot! Awesome boss animations!

No.. it ain't that hard. It's easier to do it free hand (make a new frame from the start) than copying from the last frame and just moving the shit all over the place (btw that's a cheap ass move to use. Stykz...)

Keep up the good work, my man. Being able to crank out one of these bad boys in just over a day at that standard, you've likely got a pretty bright future ahead of you no matter how things work out with this one project. Wishing you the best regardless, though! Good luck out there!

This is what I like with pixel art. Not some "stretching" and cheating in creation of anything. The stretching can be seen in many metroidvanias and platform games, and as a Graphica Designer, I can't stand them. :/ This is why many are "no thank you" for me. I won't give examples just to not throw ppl off. Frame by frame is love. Nice work!

I'm in year 2037. This take me 12 seconds to do it. Old games are still popular. Now, our AAAA games are very realistic. You can't tell the difference between a movie and a game. There are no more actors in hollywood. All actors are numerical now. It's less expensive, more secure, and we can ask what we want to this "new generation actors". McDonald's still the biggest food franchise in the world. Coca cola is still here. We discovered the secret recipe...we'd better not discovered it...
