I was so scared of making soap but it's not difficult at all! The lye is scary but work with it outside or use ice to keep the fumes low. Also keep vinegar handy in case some gets on your skin. Other than that follow the recipes and it is so fun! I've had a couple of flops but even they have been fun.

Uuugh this makes me so saaaad! :'( I'm allergic to Lavender but the color is SOOO BEAUTIFUL! Purple is my favorite color. But that being said, usually Vanilla and/or Almond and Honey are usually good to mix with the sent of Lavender.

I love lavender. The smell the color the flavor. Yes I said the FLAVOR. I had a lavender honey ice cream the other day and my life will never be the same. Ice cream is probably my favorite food and it was the best ice cream I’ve ever had. 💜

I don't have a yard, just a patio that is north facing, so it is always in the shade. Take it easy on yourself in the beginning stages of gardening is my advice. It’s okay to start with seedlings instead of seeds. And if a plant dies, it’s just a learning experience, maybe soil was too dry, maybe the spot was too sunny, etc... Failure = learning.

I was never much of a Gardiner but when my bunny passed away she was laid to rest in the yard and I built a garden around her. Now every year I plant new flowers and when they bloom I imagine that it's her sending me the flowers. I just planted rose bushes in it last year and I hope they come back this year.

Lavender Vanilla is everything. I love that mix. To me it suits most people, as lavender alone can be too much but a touch of sweetness makes it so much more pleasant and calming. And depending on how much vanilla can make a difference. Personally I like both to stand out as it is a very relaxing scent. But even just a hint can really smooth, mellow, and enhance lavender. Great for my headaches

My grandmother had flower beds all around their home, filled with flowers that I never could remember the names of, to simple pansies and beautiful roses. She had taken a floral class once to learn how to arrange cut flowers for her home, and that's exactly what she used her beautiful flowers for. For special occasions, she let me help make arrangements for coffee tables or picnic tables. Always guiding me and praising my work even if it looked weird (I was under the age of 10). The last thing she gave me before she passed away was a few old books on floral arrangements that she had used for decades. I never got the hang of growing flowers, but I can grow green things, like ivy's and such. Of course, the soil in the Pacific Northwest is soooooo much different than here in Texas, so I'd have to truck in decent topsoil to have any luck at all with a flower bed. As for lavender, I think the type of lavender depends on whether it's something that one appreciates. Some lavenders are just too bold, whereas the 40/42 is an nice blend that's mild. Then there's those "fake" wanna be lavender scents that are just🤢🤮..

My mother has a black thumb. I put a pair of hibiscus bushes in her front yard and a tree rose in her backyard. She can't kill them. The roses are first size. You make them grow by cutting the flowers off. They're perfect.

Your soap turned out beautiful as always 😊 I ❤ the different in the pot pour you ended up with. Very unique and beautiful. I am a fellow soap maker and I've also never been much of a fan of the smell of lavender 😉 I use the 40/42 blend about 80% of the time due to costs but I have come to realize that it seems to hold up better and not fade as much as some of the other more expensive oils I've used. I have never had a problem with needing to anchor the 40/42 with another essential oil, fragrance, or with kaolin clay. I like this one totally on it's own. Nice choice.

I like lavender alone and with eucalyptus, all the citrus smells and old time smells like frankincense and patchouli. This was a beautiful soap. I'd love to see one with oatmeal, apricot scrub and avacado.

I decided to plant a seed from a clementine I had for breakfast one morning, not quite a year ago, and it's still growing strong so I've been feeling inspired by that to see what else I can grow. Growing something from a seed into a beautiful plant is very satisfying. I don't have a garden but I do have many house plants and have grown things from seeds I've taken from fruits and veggies (cherries, pineapple, strawberries, avocado,..) . And every time I see that tiny little bit of life showing up in a seed I've been propagating, it's kinds of exciting. And when there is times I need to trim back a plant and I have cuttings and maybe have to throw them away because I don't have anymore room for another pot, I feel so guilty, like I am taking away it's chance at life or something lol.

I love lavender! It's literally my 20th birthday today, so I hope that's not considered old. Fun fact: Lavender is a natural spider repellent and it's like weed for bees. It's pretty great. And it is also definitely a relaxing smell. I dowse my room in lavender when I'm feeling particularly arachnophobic and/or stressed. It helps a lot in both of those areas, and also calms down my arachnophobia just because it's a relaxing smell. 10/10 Would recommend. Also, it's really pretty and my favorite color.

I definitely want some these lavender soaps, lavender and lilac are my favorite smells. Lilac reminds me of my childhood , my mom had a tree right by our / porch and it smells so good. I always buy Rose soap for my mom anything with rose for my mom that's her favorite smell. I had missed out on your rose soap wish you would make it again. I grow lavender in my front yard, it smells sooo good!! I have huuuge bushes of it, I use it to keep fleas out of my house as well. I live on a ranch and have a 9 dog pack and the lavender is good for keeping away a few of the crawlies out.

I absolutely love lavender. It is definitely a strong smell and can be overbearing for some. I would definitely mix it with something to help cut the strength. I would say lavender and peppermint is amazing! I make my own and those two are awesome! I definitely feel you on a garden! Lavender 40/42 is just a great smelling lavender. 😃 even if you're not a big fan of lavender. When I'm making a Sleepy time lotion I mix it with a vanilla type scent, but for soap I just use it by itself.
