DIY PUNCH NEEDLE PURSE
Hello lovelies xx
Today I will show you how to make a punch needle bag!
Materials:
- 12” hoop
- Monk’s cloth
- Scrap quantities of weight 5 yarn
- Punch needle tool
- Sewing machine and thread
- Lining and backing fabric
- Scissors
- 2 D rings
- Chain and lobster clasps for strap
- Marker

You can put glue on, but if you use the right fabric for the yarn weight, it should be snug and not come out. You would have to really pull on it for it to come lose :)

Isen't the punched thread gonna pull out realy easely if it isen't glued down on the leather?

More13Feen no, that is the point of punch needling. If you use the right yarn for the fabric it will not unravel. There’s also a lining so I’m not sure how the yarn would be glued down to the leather? Then the bag wouldn’t open....

I used leather for the back of the purse so if you do the same I would spot clean with a damp cloth! I also used wool so it might shrink if I wash mine. All depends on your yarn!

Hi May I ask how do we keep the purse clean. Can we wash wool? Will it shrink and change the texture?

It might shrink and mat if you use wool. I suggest spot cleaning with a damp cloth if it gets dirty

I read somewhere that for it to not shrink better wash the monks cloth before using so it could tighten not sure this will work thou
