Do you need to use the speed sensor? I am trying to find a cheap screen without the seperate speed sensor and im hoping this one can be used without that cadence/speed thing?
@lavithhcmАй бұрын
This one is Cycplus M1 bike computer which is capable with speed, cadence, and power ANT+ sensors. Without using speed sensor, it relies only GPS signal which might be OK if you use on the road. There is even cheaper version without having to use speed sensor which is here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp7bYoFqnc6FgK8si=ispIT3gwZ7KdplkI For this one, no need to use speed sensor or cadence sensor, it can only do GPS signal. and it's way cheaper than M1 bike computer. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DdB9mkV

I have bought this unit primarily because of its barometer and the gradient indicator. I had hoped I would get more reliable and precise gradient values than with GPS, especially in the mountains. But it is really disappointing: on a constant gradient of 5% the indicator continously fluctuates between 0° and 10°. And it doesn't matter wether I use GPS for distance or the Cycplus speed sensor (ANT+ mode). What is your experience?
@lavithhcm10 ай бұрын
I live in a relative flat area so i dont pay attention too much to grad. Maybe the unit resolution is not that great. With that being said, i did extract the recorded stats from the unit in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmqlgWigjKefi6M and display on screen. Its not what you are looking into doing because it's complicated but give you an idea what is recorded behind the scene. So my take on this is that the unit is recorded data every second but not able to display real time grad. And its gradient is 10° resolution. One other hand i will double check my own unit to see what it does and how it displays the grad info. I will get back to you as soon as i find out about my own unit
@kenmeyer10010 ай бұрын
@@lavithhcm Thank you. I had watched your Dashware video before I commented here and the gradient values seemed much more smooth and realistic( as far as I can say) and certainly not fluctuating. Btw I have bought my unit in nov 2023.

Hi @Di-Ai-Why Thank for the video! At the end you mentioned that your Cycplus M1 picks up the heart rate from your Garmin watch - I was trying to find info on how to do that, but nothing came up - would you be able to shed a bit more light on how to connect these 2? I also tried finding my Garmin from Cycplus C2 menu, but didn't seem to work.

@lavithhcm7 ай бұрын
Yes. Not a 100% sure but you can try this. Just need to press and hold right button until you get like c2 page ( where you can setup your speed, cadence, heart rate sensor) just keep cycle thru that right button untill you see mph "page" then you can change to km/h. That should default to SI unit measurement where GPS elevation would be in meter.

Your tire has some ETRTO number printed on it in a form like 28-622. Look up in Google search for reference circumference. Most likely you may have to enter 2136mm in that circumference setting menu. So enter that number. Best of luck! 👍

Very Helpful and detailed review, Perfect job thanks Just a I have a question, what dese the Cadence sensor for?
@lavithhcm10 ай бұрын
In a sense, cadance sensor is for me to know if i want to train muscles or cardio. If training cardio i want to keep it above 90-100 reps, if i want to train muscles, i keep it low. This is not entirely true though. It is also a metric letting u know how to spend your finite amount of energy at optimum rate. Generally, cadence of 70-90 regardless at what gear you are on is consider optimum.
